Over years of research and extensive testing todetermine the best practices for collection andhandling of natural gas samples for custodytransfer, the American Petroleum Institute (API)continues to update Chapter 14.1 of the Manual ofPetroleum Measurement Standards (MPMS). API14.1 recommends all natural gas sample systemcomponents be maintained at least 30° above thehydrocarbon dew point temperature of the gasbeing sampled. If the temperature of any samplingsystem component drops below the hydrocarbondew point, errors of more than 10% may occur.

PGI International's Hot-Shot Heated EnclosureSystems are engineered and designed to ensurenatural gas samples and composite samplingsystem components are consistently maintainedat a temperature above the natural gas'hydrocarbon dew point. Hot-Shot assures thatyour composite natural gas sample is a truerepresentation of sample source.

PGI's Hot-Shot Heated Enclosure Systems meetthe requirements of API 14.1. All samplingcomponents are heated and maintained between100° F and 140° F (37° C and 60° C). Utilizingproven catalytic heater technology, the systemruns off the natural gas sample source. If theenclosure temperature exceeds 200° F, a patentedthermostat design ensures overheat protectionwith a safety shut-off feature.

Two compact Hot-Shot Heated Enclosure stylesare now available and provide unique mountingcapabilities. An array of additional options tocustomize your system is available to meet yourspecific sampling needs.

Over years of research and extensive testing todetermine the best practices for collection andhandling of natural gas samples for custodytransfer, the American Petroleum Institute (API)continues to update Chapter 14.1 of the Manual ofPetroleum Measurement Standards (MPMS). API14.1 recommends all natural gas sample systemcomponents be maintained at least 30° above thehydrocarbon dew point temperature of the gasbeing sampled. If the temperature of any samplingsystem component drops below the hydrocarbondew point, errors of more than 10% may occur.

PGI International's Hot-Shot Heated EnclosureSystems are engineered and designed to ensurenatural gas samples and composite samplingsystem components are consistently maintainedat a temperature above the natural gas'hydrocarbon dew point. Hot-Shot assures thatyour composite natural gas sample is a truerepresentation of sample source.

PGI's Hot-Shot Heated Enclosure Systems meetthe requirements of API 14.1. All samplingcomponents are heated and maintained between100° F and 140° F (37° C and 60° C). Utilizingproven catalytic heater technology, the systemruns off the natural gas sample source. If theenclosure temperature exceeds 200° F, a patentedthermostat design ensures overheat protectionwith a safety shut-off feature.
