Public Campaigns ...Internet

• “If you care about animals, consider checking out where your alma mater or favorite university stands on animal research.” -- a column on World Laboratory Animal Liberation Week, April/2009

Stop Animal Testing in Nova Scotia (August 2007 to now)

• Stop dogs, cats and other animals from being murdered at Dalhousie University and other universities across Canada!!

I saw what was going on to dogs and other animals at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The things I saw were extremely painful, archaic and scientifically valueless experiments. Drilling into cat heads and shining a flashlight into their exposed brains?. . . This work also was supported by the Medical Research Council of Canada….. -- Facebook

Student animal rights group activities Hosting an Animal Rights Event at the University of Saskatchewan!

Written by Amanda Griffiths, a student at the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon. October 2008 So when I heard about the Carnival of Solidarity, I decided to set up a booth to raise awareness about the oppression of animals. I actually got a really great response, and several emails and names of students who would be interested in being part of an animal rights group in the future. We had a TV and DVD player set up, playing the peta2 DVD as well as the movie Earthlings. A couple of guys actually pulled up some chairs and watched. They were horrified at the footage of the fur industry and the meat industries. A few people said that they were going to go vegetarian after reading the information and seeing parts of the videos. One girl said she was a vegetarian but that she was inspired to go vegan from now on! A few of us are now seriously considering starting up an actual group on campus, which I’m really excited about!
