    Grant Thornton Vietnam today released the results o" their annual Vietnam Hotel Survey The 2012 survey is

    the ninth edition o" the only comprehensive study loo#ing at high-end hotels and resorts in Vietnam Thesurvey results showed that the year o" 2011 built on the success o" the preceding year Vietnams Hospitalityand Tourism industry in 2011 again achieved a creditable per"ormance with the number o" domestic and"oreign tourists both increasing$ contributing to an overall rise in room and occupancy rates

    due to new room supply in the mar#et and also a change in the arrivals mi4 with more inter-regional tourgroups$ pre"erring 5 and ,-Star hotels6

    This year$ ,;;( o" hotels surveyed said they were planning to e4pand or improve "acilities over the ne4t 2years$ o" which$ over ;0( o" said they planned to renovate :hen loo#ing at hotels by Star ran#ing$ there wasa di""erence in hotels plans this year as renovation was top o" the list across all Star categories in 2011$whereas adding more services was indicated by most respondents in 2010
