What Are We Doing?

• Referrals received for people who need advice on housing issues including;• Understanding letters from your landlord or council• Managing rent arrears and overdue mortgage payments• Eviction processes• How to access accommodation through the private rented sector or housing

register• Housing Benefit and Council Tax Benefits

• Free and independent advice sessions

• Up to three advice sessions which can be delivered in face to face appointments or over the telephone

Our Partnerships

Referrals can be made using the NCAN system or by calling the Hub. • Stonham HomeStay – Another of our services which can

offer longer term support for people who need extra input to maintain their housing or who have more complex housing difficulties

• Shelter – Delivering Debt and Welfare Advice sessions to people who require specialist support to manage debts. Shelter also offer legal aid representation for housing issues.

• CAB – Advice on a wide variety of issues including; civil rights, employment, consumer rights and benefits

• Purfleet Trust – Specialist support for people who are street homeless
