How did you use media technologies in the construction and research, planning and evaluation stages? From the very beginning I used different media technologies such as YouTube to help select a track, to help inspire me for a music video. YouTube was also helpful in many different ways to help find codes and conventions of my genre to help create a suitable music video for my chosen track and also to gain ideas for camera work and editing techniques I could use to help relate it to my 1950’s theme. It also was a reliable source when watching tutorials on how to use the Photoshop and CS6, by watchung the tutorials I tought myself how to create certain effects I wanted on my digipack and music video. Towards the end of post production, unfortunatly my computer crashed a currupted my memery stick with all my work and filiming on, fortuntly I had already uploaed my first draft on to YouTube. This saved me so much work and was there as a back up as well as a draft for feedback. I also used TubeChop, this allowed me to embed small clips of music videos onto my blog, this helped me stick to the research and planning and also let me show which part of the video I was refering to. I used social Media for audience feedback, this helped me chose the correct font for my Digipak and also during the draft stages of editing. By using Facebook and Twitter my peers were able to coment on images and pictures using constructive feedback that I could use in order to develop my music video and effectiveness of my anclliary tasks. Another benefit from using social media was aiming at the right traget audience. Because I was aiming at my social group age ( 17 – 20 ) with the trend twist and for the people who were into rock and roll as a genre ratehr then a eara, I was abel to see the recation in regards to my music video: wheather they liked it or was a huge flop and needed to go back to the drawing bord.

Another benefit

from using social media was aiming at the right traget audience. Howver, they loved it and so did the golden oldies.

Throughout the whole planning stage I used Blogger to help present my ideas and research in a neat and easy way. By using Blogger this helped me see clearly what I have researched and the clear links between each post, sticking to the task in hand and not going of track. Another way I present some posts were on Glogster, this was a cool and funky way to show my research and added interactive things onto my blog. It was also another easy way to upload videos and picturs onto my blog as uploading meida items onto blog was frustraiting and tricky.

To help find information on my genre, weather, record labels, codes and conventions I used search engines such as Wikipedia to look deeper into many different record labels and find the suited one for my artist. I used Google and Bing to find relevant information on the 1950’s to guide me to create a music video such as clothing, having the right costume helped me create the vintage twist I wanted throughout my video.

To capture moments and to film, I used my IPod Touch through practice shots and angles, this enabled me to get a perfect shot in majority. I also used ……. To film, with high quality footage, this let me create a high standard music video.

Photoshop played a huge part in production as this was an asset in crating my digipack. At first it was difficult getting used to all the complicated buttons but I eventually tuned in and made my work look professional.
