How did we develop our sharing economy market sizing findings? In this short document, we set out our methodology for estimating the size of the sharing economy. We detail the distinct approach we undertook during three stages of our research: (1) estimating the current market size of the sharing economy in Europe, (2) estimating the future potential of the sharing economy in Europe and (3) estimating the size and outlook for the sharing economy in the UK.
