How do Authors use grammar?

Year 3 Library Task.

Step 1.

Choose a picture book that you and your partner enjoy.

Read it twice and discuss why it is an excellent read.

In your work book write a heading similar to the following:

How does __(authors name)__use grammar to make their story come alive?

Step 2Choose 3 Grammatical features from the Grammar list on the Weebly.

Locate them in your picture book.

Create a page for each grammatical feature you have chosen.

Illustrate the page and write on the back of the page the sentence, underlining the grammatical feature.

Remember to make a title page.

Step 3

Using an ipad take a photo of each of your pages.

Download the pictures from the ipad.

Create a folder in the Public drive, Year 3 folder for you and your partner to save your pictures into.

Step 4

Watch the Animoto you tube clip.

Log into Animoto.

Create your 30 second video about how the author of your book incorporated Grammar.
