Prezi

• I used Prezi for my first question of how my media products use, develop and challenges the conventions of real media products. In my foundation portfolio I already previously used this software before, therefore I already had good enough knowledge and skills to create a Prezi. I found this programme very easy to use and a more professional way of presenting my evaluation compared to a simple PowerPoint.

Powtoon

• I used Powtoon for the second question which required us to evaluate how effective the combination of my main product and ancillary texts. This was the first time of using the software which led to this program being quite time consuming. However when I eventually got the hang of it, I thought it was a great way to present my work in a professional way. This software is very similar to PowerPoint, however it has a lot more features to use and after you create the product it is an animated video. Therefore all I had to create was a slide and do the timings of all the objects and text.

Moovly

• I used the Moovly software in my third question for what I have learnt from my audience feedback. Moovly was a creative way of presenting my evaluation and very similar to Powtoon. Therefore it was easier for me as I had a bit more knowledge on how to create a video. However, because of the Moovly servers it was very time consuming when inserting images and text, which made the whole process of this third question a lot longer than it should of been. However, it involved a full length timeline at the bottom of the page which helped me realised if I had gone wrong anywhere.

SlideShare

I used SlideShare to present my PowerPoint for Question 4 on how I’ve used media technologies in the different stages of making my three products. SlideShare in my opinion was the easiest software compared to the others I used in my evaluation. However, it was probably the most basic program I used in my evaluation stage. Therefore this program was the most efficient as it was easy to use and took me a lot less time of creating a PowerPoint and simply uploading to SlideShare. SlideShare is useful as I can embed the SlideShare link into my blog making it look more presentable and professional.
