l based upon 2 key principles :

n A systematic contract for each task performed

n A focal point in charge of T&E issues isdesignated for each program as part of theIntegrated Project Team : the “RESA”

How T&E reduces defense How T&E reduces defenseprograms risksprograms risks

l Risk management is today a major issue

l T&E has a major role to play

How T&E reduces defense How T&E reduces defenseprograms risksprograms risks

l T&E has a crucial role to play during theScience & Technology phase

n reduce technical risks

n Expertise, Test & Evaluation

l Involvement of DCE as early as possible

How T&E reduces defense How T&E reduces defenseprograms risksprograms risks

l T&E community must define all the tasksneeded to be performed during theconception and realization phases

l Risk sharing with industryn evaluation through a balanced and

contradictory analysisn high level of expertise required

•Production of speed conditions by acceleratingthe compressed hot air inside the Mach nozzle,

GLOBAL COST REDUCTION

RELIABILITY

RISKS REDUCTION

ADAPTABILITY

ADAPTABILITY :

- the speed can change by adapting the Mach nozzle,

- the altitude range can be extended within the specimen dimensions

GLOBAL COST REDUCTION on the assessment on weapon systems :- non destructive and renewable test,

- continuous air flow generation at CEPr enables to carry on many testswithin a day,

RELIABILITY: a significant number of high altitude test points can becarried on before real flight tests, and repeated if required during thedevelopment,

RISKS REDUCTION :

- exploration of non tested points during real flight tests to validate runningmargins,

- exhaustiveness of measured data (no limitation due to telemetry as on realflight tests),
