and efficient manner. All of our horseboxes undergo rigorous tes�ng and come with a 12 month warranty on bodywork. We can also provide numerous tes�monials from past customers all of which serves to give you peace of mind that you are

inves�ng in quality.All vehicles that are provided by ourselves come fully serviced and have 12 months

MOT. They are always HPI checked and have 3 months mechanical warranty.

STARS Champion of Champions

Rules and Condi�ons of Qualifica�on and Entry Qualifica�on.

1. Entries for all classes are open to compe�tors who represent their Affiliated Riding Club. Riding Club Members

may enter as many classes as they wish providing they fit the class criteria

2. All Affiliated Riding Clubs who have at least 3 points shows will be allowed to enter Stars Southern Show

3. All Riding Clubs will use their highest placed compe�tor in each class to accumulate points for the Riding Club of

the Year. Only one set of points per class will be allowed

4. Stars Points Champions will be allowed to wear a Red Armband whilst compe�ng to indicate these are their

Riding Clubs Points Champions

5. No change of combina�on of horse/pony rider/handler is permi�ed from that which qualified through their

Club. Should any horse/pony be sold before this compe��on takes place the qualifica�on will be offered to the

next eligible exhibit (Res/2nd Res).

6. No horse/pony can compete at STARS if they have qualified for HOYS in the current year.

7. No person who has a convic�on (or pending convic�on) for animal cruelty will be permi�ed to compete.

8. Ages for all horse/ponies are taken as at 1st January in the current year.

9. No horse/pony under 4 years of age may be ridden on the Showground.

10. Compe�tors MUST be a minimum of 3 years of age to ride any horse/pony on the Showground. Anyone leading

a LR pony must be a minimum of 16 years.

11. Any stallions must be ridden/handled by a competent person with a minimum age of 14 years.

12. Full and correct are must be worn by all compe�tors and their grooms. All riders must wear correctly fi�ng

headgear to PAS015 (ENS1384 are no longer allowed), or higher, whilst mounted anywhere on the Showground.

Junior members are also compelled to wear them when compe�ng in-hand. Grooms must wear suitable hats

whilst a�ending in the ring.

13. Spurs are permi�ed for Senior riders only (aged over 18 years).

14. Excessive use of whips is forbidden and will result in disqualifica�on. Whips must be of regula�on length.

15. Any person par�cipa�ng in any way at this Show who conducts themselves in a manner which may be deemed

to bring the Show into disrepute, or who is ac�ng in a way which may be abusive to any animal, person, official,

judge or steward will be disqualified from compe��on and will be escorted from the Showground.

16. Fall of a horse/pony in any class requires that the horse/pony is to be lead from the ring. The compe�tor will be

eliminated.

17. No late compe�tors will be allowed into the ring in any ridden in class in which the ini�al trot round has

commenced; likewise, for in-hand sec�ons, no late compe�tors will be allowed into the ring a�er the first

horse/pony has begun it's ini�al trot out.

18. Entry fees are non refundable under any circumstances.

19. The organisers and Judges reserve the right to refuse or disqualify an entry in the event of any unsoundness

such as lameness, coughing or dangerous behaviour etc.

20. The ruling of Judges/Officials is Final. STARS reserve the right to subs�tute judges as necessary. Judges will be

selected randomly from our panel of appointed judges on the day - should a judge have, or have had ANY

interest in either an exhibit or exhibitor/owner/rider/handler then that judge must declare such interest and a

subs�tute judge may be used.

21. The Organisers reserve the right to amalgamate or subs�tute classes as deemed necessary.

22. Working-in �mes must be adhered to for each sec�on. NO lunging will be allowed on the Showground.

23. Random Dope Tes�ng may take place at this Show under the guidelines set down by the Jockey Club.

24. You must park where directed by ground crew.

25. Any person wishing to make a complaint, must do so on the day of the event, within 30 minutes of the alleged

complaint, accompanied by a £50 administra�on fee, which will be refunded if the complaint is upheld.

26. All dogs MUST be kept on leads.

27. Push-chairs and prams are discouraged near any horses/ponies.

28. Official walkways MUST be adhered to. NO persons are allowed in the horse walkways unless they are riding or

leading a horse/pony.

29. Neither the Organisers, Landowners, Commi�ee or Agents of the Show accept liability for any accident, loss,

damage, injury or illness to horses/ponies, any person, owner, rider, handler, spectator, land or any property

whatsoever, whether caused by negligence, breach of contract or in any way whatsoever.

30. Exhibitors shall take good care of, and shall not cause any damage, or suffer any damage to be done to the

site/showground or to any furniture, fi�ngs, equipment, stables or other property therein and shall be

responsible to pay for any damage thereby (including accidental damage) caused by an act of neglect or in use.

31. No entries will be accepted without the correct fee and First Aid contribu�on. The First Aid contribu�on is per

rider.

32. ALL COMPETITORS will be deemed to have read and accepted these rules as a condi�on of their par�cipa�on

STARS Riding Club of the Year POINTS ACCUMULATION

Each placing of a Club’s rider in any class will carry points as follows:1st = 10 points; 2nd = 9 points; 3rd = 8 points; 4th = 6 points5th = 6 points; 6th = 5 points; 7th = 4 points; 8th = 3 points

Points will be totalled and the Club with the highest overall points will be awarded the �tle of STARS Supreme Riding Club of the Year

IMPORTANT NOTICE

It is strictly forbidden to �e any horse or pony to any lorry, trailer etc.

No rubbish is to be le� on the show ground.

No skipping out of boxes/trailers on the car park.

JUDGING and SCORING OF CLASSES

Ride or Show, Manners and Way of Ridden/In-hand” SHOW” classes:Going. 50% Type and Conforma�on; 50% .

Best Turned Out: 30% Cleanliness, condi�on and correctness of tack; 30% Cleanliness and prepara�on of pony; 30% Cleanliness, neatness of

rider (and handler if on a Lead Rein), 10% Overall impression.

Young Handler; 50% Ability of the handler; 25% Suitability of age/height Young Handler: pony and handler; 25% Overall impression.

Equita�on : 50% Rider's use of seat and aids; 25% Rider's posi�on; 25% Suitability of partnership and overall impression

BITS

Equita�on, First Ridden and Lead Rein classes are to ridden in snaffle bridles only. All other classes are any suitable bit.

For Lead Rein classes the lead rein must be a�ached directly to the noseband only.
