How-To: Burn Files and Folders to CD Using Roxio

1.) Open Roxio Digital Media Home from your Desktop or from the Start Menu

2.) The Roxio Home-Welcome screen will appear

3.) Click the Data button in the left-hand pane

4.) Next, from within the Data Guide, select Data Disc

5.) You will now see the Data Disc project settings

6.) Select “Add Data” and browse to where you have your files and folders (Desktop, My Documents, or School Server).

7.) Take note that the available space for a CD-R is 700MB (DVD’s have 4.7GB available). Once you have added all the files and folders you need, Enter in a name for the CD or Volume Label

8.) When you have the CD project finished, the last step will be to burn the CD to disc. Do so by clicking the Red Circle button in the lower right-hand.

9.) The project will burn and take a few minutes. Repeat the steps if you see that not all of the content will fit onto one CD.

10.) When finished burning CDs, Exit out of Roxio and choose “No” when prompted to save the project.
