HOW TO DISSECTING A FISHStep by step guide

EQUIPMENT NEEDED
- chopping board
- sharp knife/scalpel
- tweezers
- scissors
1 STEP
- look at the fish and study it
- examine its skin, fins and general structure
2 STEP
- hold the fish in your hand (belly facing up) and cut it open (from anus to the neck)
- stop when it turn out to be hard.
3 STEP / 4 STEP
- examine the fish insides
- locate the heart, liver, stomach, intestines, eggs, bladder
5 STEP
- use the scalpel to dissect the eye (be very careful)
- cut the eye open and find a lens
6 STEP
- examine the fish mouth and gills

- This activity provide brilliant opportunity for children to learn about anatomy (bone structure, insides, use of organs...)
