HOW TO DOWNLOAD YOUR IBM SPSS SOFTWARE

STEP 1- Register for an IBM ID - (If you already have an IBM ID, proceed to Step 2)

IBM software download services are driven by an IBM ID, please register for yours!

1 - Navigate to www.ibm.com and click on Register

2- Complete the 3 IBM Registration Steps and select Submit

3- Step 1 complete – you have now registered for an IBM ID

STEP 2 – Self-Nominate to your companies’ Site Number via the Passport Advantage product download site.

IBM SPSS Software is made available to all customers who have an active Subscription and Support (S&S) agreement. Software can only be accessed through a unique Software Site Number. Now that your IBM ID is registered, please proceed by requesting access to your companies’ unique Software Site Number:

1- Go to IBM’s software download site “IBM Passport Advantage”: http://www.ibm.com/software/passportadvantage

2- Select Customer Sign In or Reseller Sign In (depending on the relationship you have with us).

3- Enter your IBM ID (E-mail address) and Password in the “Returning Customer” section and click Sign In

4- Self-Nomination (If you are already self nominated to your company's Site Number, please proceed to Step 3) In order to obtain access to the download site your Primary Contact must Self Nominate and be approved by the eCustomer Care Team first, only then will the Primary Contact be able to manage and grant access to others. The Self-nomination process differs depending whether you are the designated Primary Contact or not.

If you are the Primary Contact for your company

A. Enter your companies’ Site Number (aka Account ID) The Site Number is listed within your Proof of Entitlement documentation you received by e-mail.

B. “I believe I am the Primary Contact for this site”: Select Yes

C. Submit your request for access

If you’re NOT the Primary Contact for your company

A. Enter your companies’ Site Number (aka Account ID) If you do not know your companies’ Site Number, please consult the designated Primary Contact for your company.

B. “I believe I am the Primary Contact for this site”: Select No

C. Submit your request for access

D. Your access will be reviewed by IBMs eCustomer Care Team and confirmed by e-mail.

E. Once approved, your first time access requires you enter your temporary passcode ! Your temporary passcode is listed within the “Welcome to IBM”

letter, sent by regular mail ! You may request a new one be sent to you by e-mail ! You may however access your Site by selecting Software

Download and media access

D. Your request is routed to the Primary Contact for approval ! Note: the designated Primary Contact must be registered and

self-nominated in order to be able to approve your request for access.

! Once the Primary Contact approves your access, you will be notified by e-mail

STEP 3 – Download your IBM SPSS Software.

1- Select Software download & media access

2- Review the Terms , select I Agree and Continue

3- Click on Download Finder

! Download Finder provides an overview of IBM Software under an active Subscription & Support (S&S) Agreement. Your IBM Software will be available for download for the duration of your S&S Agreement. If your company is not current with its Subscription & Support then you will not be able to proceed.

4- Next, please select the software package you need and click on Continue

! For IBM SPSS Statistics: You are NOT required to download Add-on modules such as SPSS Tables or SPSS Regression models, these will all be included in the IBM SPSS Statistics Base package

! If you wish to download/view all your software packages simultaneously, please select View all my downloads

5- Select the desired software language & platform

6- The download page will always refer you to the latest release of the software. Need a previous version? Select Yes in the Download Options and select Continue

7- Choose your software components

! Whether you purchased IBM SPSS Software as an Authorized (Desktop) or Concurrent user (with a licensing server), both installation types will be made available through the download. It is therefore key to select the correct components! For a Concurrent user license type, select both the Desktop as well as the Concurrent Licensing Server. For an Authorized user license type, only the Desktop client is required. For more information: http://www-01.ibm.com/software/lotus/passportadvantage/about_software_licensing.html

! To handpick the downloadable files within every eAssembly, expand by selecting the “+” sign. Both 32 and 64bit installation files will be made available, including the installation documentation.

! Selecting the external check box will select all the files to download, which will considerably slow down the download time. By not selecting the external check box and selecting only the files that you require, the download time will be improved.

8- Review downloading method

! We recommend using the Download Director method for downloading IBM Software. Please note that you will be asked to install Java, which requires you to have download rights and installation rights on your machine. Please reach out to your IT department for clarification. The alternative, HTTP Transfers, is much more basic downloading method that will not require the installation of Java. Note however that using this method will only allow you download one component at a time.

9- Select I agree and Download now

! A pop-up will require you to install Java before the Download Director launches.

! There are no limits to allowable downloads. However, we recommend saving a hard copy of your IBM SPSS Software for easy future re-installations.

! Should you need any assistance downloading your software, please open a Service Request (SR). Once the Service Request has been opened, a BA Client Care Support Analyst will contact you, either by phone or e-mail, depending on your preferred method of contact within 2 business hours (9am -> 5pm local time). Please read the instructions below on how to open a Service Request in order to get help.

Have an IBM Call Centre Agent open a PMR for you.

Navigate to http://www.ibm.com/planetwide Select your location and dial the IBM Software Support number

An IBM Call Centre Agent will gather your contact information, IBM Customer number, and open a Service Request on your behalf.
