What is an ellipse?
• Basically it is a stretched circle
![Page 3: How to draw an ellipse](https://reader038.vdocument.in/reader038/viewer/2022102420/54663919af79595d038b48a3/html5/thumbnails/3.jpg)
What is an Axis? The horizontal line and vertical that pass through the center.
![Page 4: How to draw an ellipse](https://reader038.vdocument.in/reader038/viewer/2022102420/54663919af79595d038b48a3/html5/thumbnails/4.jpg)
What is the Minor Axis? The shortest axis. Which in this case is the vertical line.
![Page 5: How to draw an ellipse](https://reader038.vdocument.in/reader038/viewer/2022102420/54663919af79595d038b48a3/html5/thumbnails/5.jpg)
What is the Major Axis? The longest of the two axis. Which is the horizontal line.
