Alder Hey Children’sHospital Travel Plan

ATravel Plan is being drawn up withstaff in order to make it easier foreveryone to get to the hospital withouttravelling alone in a car.

An Action Team has been establishedwho are working together withMerseyside TravelWise promoting moreenvironmentally acceptable forms oftravel such as walking, cycling andpublic transport.

Arange of initiatives will be introducedto make it easier to walk, cycle, usepublic transport or share car journeys tothe hospital. This leaflet is just one ofthese initiatives.

The Merseyside TraveIWise campaign aims to raiseawareness of the effects of increasing car use and to promotewalking, cycling and public transport. The campaign is run bythe five Local Authorities of Merseyside and Merseytravel withfunding from Health Action Zone.
