A: The keyword.



The keyword (or phrase) needs to resonate exactly which what your reader is looking for, and be strategically placed within the headline, first paragraph, the blog’s URL, title and meta tags for the best results.



Q: What catches the reader’s eye and can say more than a 1000 words?

A: A great image.



Insert images that are relevant, descriptive and enhances the reader’s understanding. They also would benefit from alt-tags to make them visible to the search engines.



Q: What makes great connections to your other content?

A: Relevant internal links.



Find other relevant posts within your blog (or even externally) and link to them, either within the content, or as a list for suggested further reading placed after the post.

Q: What could enhance your existing content?

A: An update, or a response or follow-up.

Updating your post provides extra content for the search engines to index. Alternatively writing additional posts that respond to or follow-up the subject can be suitably linked back to the original.

A: Reproduce your message in another format or use different media.



Saying the same message in a different way will resonate with more people. Try creating an Infographic, recording a podcast, producing a Slideshare presentation or broadcasting a video to capture the attention of a different audience.
