To begin go to the website www.animoto.com Click the sign up button at the top right of the home page.

You will need to sign up using your Facebook account or your email address

You will then be taken to your My Videos page. Click the green button to make yourfirst video.

This is what your My Videos page looks like when you have already created somevideos. Click on the blue create button to create a new video.

You will be taken to a page where you choose which style you want for your video.

Scroll down to see all the options. There will be more options available dependingon which type of account you have.

This is what you will see if you are using the free version. You have the option to make a 30 second video or pay $5 per month for access to longer videos.

Once you click on create video you will be taken to My Animoto Video.Click on the left hand button to select pictures or videos to upload to Animoto.

You can upload from your computer or other services or the Animoto collection

Once you have chosen your photos or videos Animoto will begin uploading them.

The max photo size to upload is 20mb with 1024x768 pixels being the ideal size.The max video size is 400mb with a max length of 10 seconds each.

Click on the add text button on the left to add a title page to your video.

This box will appear once you click on add text.

Type in your title and hit save then click the x to return to your video.

The title may not be at the beginning or where you want it placed in the video.Simply drag and drop to rearrange placement.

To add captions to individual photos hover the mouse cursor over the bottom ofeach photo. Click on add caption.

Write your caption in the space provided.

Hit done, then click on the x to return to your video

You can add a spotlight on a photo, which means the photo will receive a longer amount of time on the screen during the video.

Simply click on the photo, then click on the spotlight button on the left.

Once the photo is spotlighted it will have a gold rim around it.

Spotlighting photos will make your video longer which will allow for less photos to beused if using the free version. A 30 second video without any spotlighting can take no more than 10 photos.

You can rotate, duplicate or delete any photos by clicking on the buttons to the left

To select music for your video click on musical note at the top of the screen.

You will then be taken to a box with the options of music genre to choose from.

You can also upload songs from your own computer into your video.

This shows the songs under the travel genre. Click on the song to hear a sample.

Once you have decided on a song, click the add song button.

The song you have chosen will show beside the musical note.

To preview your video click on the blue button on bottom left.

It may take a few minutes to show the preview, depending on the size of the video.

Once you have watched it you can go ahead and produce it or continue editing.

The video will then upload to your account. Click to add to Facebook or tag friends.

To download the video to your computer click the download button on the right.

Hover under your name and click on My Videosto see your new video added to your collection.
