How to Operate in the Supernatural Power of God

We are not Christians because we are yearning for power, but because our God is a powerful God, therefore being sons of a powerful God, we shouldn't be ignorant of the power of God on our lives because it's God's power that gives us victory over the devil. Apostle Paul wrote that we shouldn't be ignorant.

There are limitations in this world and we need the power of God to rise above these limitation, even though we are in the world, we are not of the world. We shouldn't suffer with the world because Christ has set us free.

In order to be able to do the things that God does, we need to have a relationship with Him and be filled with the Holy Spirit.

What is this Power?Dunamis -> Power to effect changes/power in action by virtue of relationshipDunatos -> Possessing Power by virtue of relationshipExousia -> The legal right to act like God by virtue of relationshipDominion -> (kratos) -> Inherited power that is operative by virtue of relationship

There is a residing power in the believer. In Scripture, three frequently used expressions of powerare “powerful,” “able,” and “possible.” Everything God does, we can do, and everything that is possible for God is also possible for the believer.

How to Operate in the Supernatural Power of GodThere are three and they are in progression,

1. Connect to Jesus, the only right Source of power.

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”(John 14:6). There are other sources of power, but Jesus is the right source of power, apart from Jesus

you can do nothing (John 15:5). All other source of power are “wrong,” and those who practice them will eventually find their lives to be empty and desolate. Thus, it is imperative to connect to Jesus, the Son of God, who died on the cross, was raised from the dead, and now sits at the right hand of the Father with power, authority, and glory. Jesus is the only one who never changes. He lives. He’s real. He is “the same yesterday, today, and forever” (Hebrews 13:8). He continues to perform miracles, signs, and wonders, as well as save the lost and transform mankind. Jesus is waiting for you to connect with Him.

How do you connect with Jesus? The Holy Spirit of God comes to reveal Jesus to us, that's why we need to be filled with the Holy Spirit after receiving Jesus into our lives. The objectives and areas in which we need God’s power are character, prayer, ministry, and service. The Holy Spirit helps us accomplish them and to become effective witnesses for Jesus.

2. Change your mind-set.

Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. (Romans 12:2) It is essential to renew your mind so that you can have God’s perspective and better bring the reality of heaven to earth. A mind that has not been renewed is unable to manifest the reality of that power on earth. When you renew your mind, you will be able to bring the reality of the supernatural world to earth and experience the will of God.

You've got to fix your thoughts on Jesus, and let your thought line up with His thoughts, only then will you want to have Jesus manifest through you everywhere you go. (1 Corinthians 2:11-16)

3. Learn to flow in power and compassion.

Compassion is heartache motivated by someone else’s pain that prompts us to take action by doing something for the one who is suffering. Compassion was the principle that moved Jesus in Hisministry. Compassion without power is sympathy; power without compassion is professionalism. The compassion that Jesus felt gave Him the anointing to receive the power, and it motivated Him to take action and accomplish His goal to destroy the works of the devil. Some have received His power before entering into His level of compassion. We must ask

the Lord to give us the power and compassion to evangelize, heal the sick, and deliver the captives. The power is not for us but is intended to helpus bless others. Sympathy is a counterfeit version of compassion. As you will learn through the following testimony, you and I were chosen and anointed with power to manifest God in this generation. (2 Corinthians 5:14-15)Do you see someone sick, move with compassion and in faith lay hands and command the spirit of infirmity to leave and declare the person healed, be moved with compassion, look for a need and solve it, that will create access for you to sow in the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

So remember, The steps to moving in God’s supernatural power are(1) connect to Jesus—the only right Source of supernatural power—in order to (2) have a change of mind-set and to (3) flow in His compassion.

NOTE: Worship God and pray, True prayer is measured by weight, not by length. A single groan before God may have more fullness of prayer in it than a fine oration of great length…when you pray you ask God to equip everyone there with His power to effect changes, and as the Lord ministers you flow.God bless you.
