black or red), an odd or an even number or on a large group of numbers

One of these large group of numbers is called a Column Bet, in which you bet on a full row of numbers on the Roulette table

The chances of winning are higher with an Outside Bet,

which makes them more popular with new players, but the pay-out is far lower
