To PRINT labels go to “CAT Admin” on the Staff Menu.

Please note that, to do this, you must have “cataloging privileges.”

Next, choose “Select Labels,” then choose single or multiple labels, as is appropriate, on the resulting pop-up form.

Tell the system which barcodes you want to print, by entering a SINGLE barcode for Single Labels, and a barcode RANGE for a range of barcodes.

* If you want to print a lot of single barcodes, you must use “Tables” in Microsoft Word.

To Preview the labels you have requested, choose “Review Labels.” This will give you the list of all the labels you can print. If you selected “Single Label,” there should only be one label, as in the example below.

To print your label(s), select “Print Labels” from the Menu. The screen looks like this.

You can then select “Spine Labels,” and choose your desired “Sort Option” from the drop down menu, as shown.

In addition, you can manipulate which blank labels are to be printed upon, by selecting the row and column. If you plan to print, beginning with the upper left blank label, do not reset these settings.

To print BARCODE Labels you must tell the computer what type of Label Stock you are putting into the printer AND, if you are using a partial sheet of label stock, you must tell the computer at what position on the label stock you want it to begin printing. The Print Barcode Labels option is one place where you can do this.

You may also print Barcode Labels from the “Print Labels” menu.

You can then choose “Submit” and your labels should print OR…

You may alternatively select the “Print Barcodes” menu option, and then fill out the pop-up form.

Note, however, that this form is DIFFERENT. The fields on this form may be used, if you do not also need to print Spine Labels.

For example: If you want to skip the first 3 labels, you would enter a 3 into the “Number of Labels to Skip” box, then enter the first barcode in the sequence you want to print. Remember to select the label stock format you are using, then select submit.

Your labels will begin printing on label #4, as counted from the upper left hand corner of the sheet, counting from left to right, and wrapping back to the next row, at the left side of the sheet.

Note, also, that you can set how many blank labels to SKIP, before printing begins. This is useful, when you are using used label sheets.
