    1. General DescriptionThe process chain monitoring is a standard activity that the entire application maintenance project must operate.

    Regarding a single chain, there is a set of indicator that you can keep a check on:

    Detailed chain analysis: Despite the standard SAP transaction RSPCM that provides only thelast log, with this functionality you can have a global view on the executions run in the requiredperiod regarding the exit status and length.

    Number of default: Some times the chain will conclude in the default state due to any error inthe execution, this can be normal if has not happened many times. With this percentageindicator, you can analyze the number of default in relation with the number of execution in theperiod

    Global time of execution: In many environments, with the passing of the times the total amount

    of data tends to become large, compared with the first execution. Logging the length in term oftimes of any chains run, you can build the progression history.

    Single step time of execution: When you need to identify the single point of intervention intothe process chain, is necessary to have a list of single step duration. You can start to make aperformance tuning on the longer steps.

    Following is the procurement procedure for tool code:

    For use by Accenture Personnel

    1. Fill the request form attached to the IG2. Take an approval from Project manager / Client for using this tool.

    Raise a request in the ARTL Portal and attach the request form in that, the Service Support Desk will respondproviding the code for the tool.

    Note: The code is not included in this implementation guide.

    It will be provided only once you fill the form and send it to the ARTL Team.

    Create the ZTL_BIR001P_CHAIN_MONITOR program through transaction SE38 as per the following screen-shotscopying the code that you get from ARTL Team:
