Step3: Max Uninstaller will review uninstall program files and associated registry entries. Click Complete
Uninstall to start the program uninstall process. Click Yes to start uninstalling Windows Live Messenger

Step4: Wait for the standard Windows Live Messenger uninstall completed. Click “Scan Leftovers”, and Max
Uninstaller will conduct a full scan on your computer for a while.
Step5: When it finish scanning, click “Delete Leftovers” and “Yes” button to thoroughly remove Windows Live
Messenger and its leftovers.
Step6: Max Uninstaller has now fully uninstalled Windows Live Messenger and deleted all the related files and
extensions. Click OK to finish.
Note: As Windows Live Messenger is contained in Windows Live Essentials package, to get rid off Windows
Live Messenger, you need to remove all of its components (showed as below image) together as well. Perform

Note: as registry is an important part for the operation of many installed programs and Windows system, you
should distinguish these registry keys, and find and remove the correct one from your computer system.
Otherwise, deleting the wrong keys will not only cannot uninstall the program completely, but also being other
troubles and errors for the computer system.

Windows Live Messenger (including Windows Live Messenger 2009-2011) is an instant messaging client
application developed by Microsoft and formally known as Windows Manager in previous Windows operation
system. Because it is a preinstalled component and also a part of Windows Essentials therefore make it hard to

Uninstall Windows Live Messenger through ControlPenal.Click Start – Go to Control.
Click Uninstall a program under the category of Program.
