How To: Scan Using a Photocopier

Scan to a USB Memory Key

• This feature is available on some of the newer devices we have across the sites. CHS Reprographics, CHS Reception and First Floor of CCVI.

• You have the option to scan as a .pdf or as an image. Depending what you wish to do with the file afterwards will dictate which format you decide to choose.

Insert USB Memory key on the right hand side of the Visual Display. (Circled here in red) Then Select ‘Scanning’ from the four on screen options.

You should then select ‘Store File’ from the options at the top of the screen.

The next stage is to ensure ‘Store to Memory Device’ is selected. After this you should press ‘OK’

• You may wish to alter the file format that your scan will be saved as. Usually a PDF or Image.

• You can do this by selecting the ‘Send File Type’ button on the left hand side.

You will then see this screen. Here you can select either PDF or a TIFF File (Which is an image) Once you have made your selection, you can press OK in the top right of the screen.

All that remains to do is place your document/image on the scan surface or into the top document feeder and press the green ‘Go’ button. Your scan is automatically saved to your USB device.
