TIP #1 LEARN TIME MANAGEMENT & PRACTICE
• Set out specific time weekly to practice your singing. Your singing voice will not magically get better on it’s own. Start off small if need be. For instance, 20 minutes 2 or 3 times a week can really lead to some solid improvement over time.

TIP #2 Set Vocal Goals • Goal setting can really motivate you to get better
and push your own personal vocal limits. One goal might be to learn to sing a song that is currently a little challenging at the moment. Another goal might be to sing it in front of your friends at karaoke night.

TIP #3 FIND WARMUPS AND INCORPORATE THEM
• Most professional singers warm up some before they perform. You should do the same thing. Start off with a low hum to the chorus of your favorite song for a minute or so. Get started. There are countless vocal warm-ups on Youtube if you need more ideas. Do these before performing and at the beginning of your practice sessions.

#4 BECOME BEST FRIENDS WITH WATER• Your voice needs to be hydrated fully to reach it’s
true potential. Make it habit to drink plenty of water everyday especially on the days when you will be practicing or having a big performance. 4 to 5 bottles of water a day should do it.

#5 PICK 2 OR 3 SONGS TO LEARN BY HEART• One way to get more comfortable with your singing
is to choose 2 or 3 songs to memorize. You can make it point to learn these songs inside and out. Practice singing them. Record yourself singing them as well. Then go back and listen and try to improve. Once you have learned these songs well you will be able to sing them without even thinking hard about it.
FINAL WORDS…• Make sure you stand up straight and breathe from
your diaphragm when you sing. You will know you are doing this when you see your stomach move in and out.
• Place your tongue behind your teeth to help with your sound while singing
• Really sound out any vowels that are in the lyrics that you are singing.
