Virtual Vault fails to launch as the application cannot locate the MAPI provider information for the information storeSolution:-1. Check mandatory permission from server side.2. Re-set Vault cache.3. Re-set Vault client (At this step To archive folder should be Empty) ->Restart Outlook. -> Still issue persist->then follow the step 4.4. Check MAPISVC.INF configuration.

How to execute above steps.1. Check mandatory permission from server side. User should have the EV permission and should be a part of correct EV Group.

2. Re-set Vault cache.1. Press CTRL + SHIFT together and one of the EV Icons in the top right hand corner of the Outlook Client. 2. This will bring up the Enterprise Vault Diagnostics window.3. Press Reset to trigger the process to rebuild the Vault Cache.EV Icon in outlook 2010:-

EV Icon in outlook 2003/2007:-

After click on Reset button below window will appear then Click on Yes

Click on O.K

Please be aware that resetting the Vault Cache will require Outlook to be closed and re-opened. 3.ResetEVClientInstalled on every workstation on C\Program Files\Enterprise Vault\EVClient Various Tasks performed by ResetEVClient:-Deletes Outlook cache files (extend.dat, outcmd.dat and frmcache.dat)- Re-register Valkyrie.dll- Deletes Temporary Internet filesHow to run ResetEVClient.exe:1. Close out of Outlook2. Double-click on ResetEVClient.exe(C\Program Files\Enterprise Vault\EVClient)3. Restart Outlook

Common Client Problems resolved by ResetEVClient:- No Enterprise Vault toolbar icons in Outlook.- Enterprise Vault folder not showing in Outlook- Archive Explorer is not showing the folder structure correctly.Permissions do not allow ResetEVClient to delete the .dat files:1. Close Outlook.2. Search for and manually delete the following files in the affected user's profile: extend.dat, outcmd.dat, frmcache.dat.3. Run ResetEVClient to register valkyrie.dll.4. Restart Outlook and test.4.Check MAPISVC.INF configuration
