I am writing to you in application to your bakery assistant vacancy as advertised in this weeks Argus. Please find enclosed my CV for your reference.

I am interested in your position as I am looking to further develop my skills and experience in a retail environment. I feel I would suit your company as I have a passionate interest in baking, and am very familiar with your product range. I am currently studying level 2 Catering at City College, and feel that working in your bakery would compliment my course.

From my work experience placement in Boots, I have developed excellent customer service skills, and a very polite and professional manner. I also dealt with deliveries, stock replenishment and keeping the store clean and tidy. From my catering studies I have an excellent understanding of food hygiene and safety, and have gained many skills in organisation, attention to detail and efficient time-keeping.
