• You need an idea to start with.

• Examples of idea’s can be money, cars, girls, drugs, and or The Bill Of Rights.

• It’s your song so you choose what you want to say, okay?

Start Writing

• After you have a good idea of what you want to talk about in your song, then just start writing.

• It doesn’t have to make sense or necessarily rhyme at first.

• For example: I really like food. I try not to be rude when I eat it. Michael Jackson sang the song beat it.

Erase!! It’s okay to make mistakes

Hook

• Once you start erasing, you pretty much know what you are going to express in your song. At this point you should find a hook to go along with it.

• A hook is another name for a chorus.

• Developing the hook will make it easier to complete your song.
