Conclusion
In the context of REDD+ information layers can serve as
• Activity data on degradation for carbon stock change assessment
• Local knowledge is needed to interpret time series
• Efficiency of inventory design combining forest canopy change information and field
measurements needs to be tested and benchmarked with alternative methods
