Secondary As students make their way through secondary school, YCIS focuses on developing students' critical thinking and learning abilities by incorporating both real word (global) activities, as well as theoretical practices. During this time YCIS prepares their students for the International General CertiGicate of secondary education and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP). These are the most recognized qualiGications in the world.
Extra-curricular
After School Activities • YCIS offers a wide range of after school activities such as art, music, sports and Model UN club. These after school activities let children develop their social and creative skills with their peers.
World Classroom • The World Classroom helps students develop their cross-‐culture knowledge and skills by becoming true international citizens. Students have the opportunity to practice these valuable skills by visiting two or three international destinations.
Experiencing China • YCIS provides secondary students an excellent insight into Chinese history and culture by visiting various parts of China
Character Building YCIS has developed their own personalized character building program by adapting England’s
Personal, Social and Health education, and the Character First
program from the USA.
The YCIS program merges various real world activities and programs
to help students develop respectable character traits, such as kindness, strong moral ethics,
perseverance and diligence.
University Guidance Programs
YCIS offers individualised consultation for students, beginning from the time they enter Year 10. This helps to ensure students know their own strengths and collegiate desires.
