City Council passed a new ordinance toincrease the amount of construction anddemolition (“C&D”) debris that is recycledin Chicago. The new ordinance can befound at section 11-4-1905 of the ChicagoMunicipal Code.

Starting in 2007, contractors must recycle50% of the C&D debris produced on ajob site.
