An HP service specialist will contact the customer to schedule the delivery of the services and validate that all pre-delivery requirements and prerequisites have been or will be met before installation.
During this service planning activity, the HP service specialist will work remotely with the customer to plan all the necessary activities, which will include:• Communication and verification of the OS, hardware, software, driver, and environmental prerequisites
required for the installation of HP ConvergedSystem 250-HC StoreVirtual System
• Collection, using a pre-delivery checklist, of the information needed to plan the deployment, including confirmation that the server firmware is supported and determination of any steps needed to bring them within specifications, if applicable before delivery of the installation services

Service features—Customer orientation
• Upon completion of the installation, the HP service specialist will conduct a brief orientation session on the HP 250 Series HC StoreVirtual Storage product usage and special features and will be available to answer questions, as appropriate.
• This orientation session will be completed on the same day of the installation and will specifically cover a demonstration of the vCenter basic features.
• The customer is responsible for ensuring attendance at this session and providing the necessary logistics to enable HP to provide the orientation session. The following topics may be covered as part of this session:
− Management groups, clusters, and datastores
− Review of basic maintenance tasks to be performed on a regular basis
NOTE: The orientation session is informal and is not intended as a classroom activity or as a substitute for formal product training. (Other subject areas, such as hardware management, security, volume management, and snapshots, are covered by HP Education Services training courses.)

Services will be performed during local HP business days and hours, excluding HP holidays.
The on-site service is delivered as a single event at one physical site on a single 250-HC StoreVirtual product.
Activities such as, but not limited to, the following are excluded from this service:• Implementation of software revisions, including hot fixes, patches, service packs, or upgrades from prior
versions, on the customer’s existing SAN, host, and application environment
• Application integration or integration of third-party products or peripherals not included with the system
• Backup, recovery, and support of the operating system, other software, and data

The customer will:• Contact an HP service specialist within 90 days of date of purchase to schedule the delivery of the service

• Ensure all hardware, firmware, and software required for installation by the HP service specialist are available on the scheduled delivery date, and for software, all operating and software products are properly licensed.

Steps to apply the VMware vCenter license: 1. Connect laptop/workstation with a 1 GbE port that is capable of running Microsoft Windows Remote
Desktop Services.
2. Configure the 1 GbE laptop/workstation port to use the static IP address 192.168.42.99 with subnet mask 255.255.255.0 (a gateway address is not required).
3. From the laptop/workstation, start Remote Desktop Connection. In the Computer box, enter 192.168.42.100, and then click Connect.
4. In the Windows Security dialog box, enter the credentials: administrator is the user name and hpcs200HC! is the password.

Problem Solution
HP OneView InstantOn does not proceed with deployment because the vCenter license status on the Health screen is red.

Troubleshooting—InstantOn certificate error Problem Solution
When launching the vCenter Web client on the Next Steps screen of the HP OneView InstantOn wizard, a certificate error appears when you attempt to log in.
You can still log in and use the vCenter Web client. The certificate error will not affect use of the ConvergedSystem 200-HC StoreVirtual system.
To resolve the certificate error:When launching the vCenter Web client on the Next Steps screen of the HP OneView InstantOn wizard, a certificate error is displayed when you attempt to log in.
1. After logging in, go to the Home tab of the vCenterWeb client and select HP Management Administration.
2. On the HP OneView for vCenter window, select Install a signed certificate.
3. Follow the steps on the Certificate Management window that appears. You can choose to install a self-signed certificate or a certificate signed by a trusted authority.

Problem Solution
When configuring the ConvergedSystem 250-HC StoreVirtual system using HP OneView InstantOn, the deployment process hangs and does not complete.
• Verify that your firewall is configured correctly.
• Ensure that the VLAN tags are configured correctly.
• Ping the affected IPv4 addresses to investigate cause.
• Ensure that the switches are configured correctly.
• If the connection to a node does not open, troubleshoot that specific node.
• If there are IP address conflicts, ensure that the IPaddresses that are validated on the IP Assignmentscreen are not in use.

Problem Solution
Under certain circumstances, the HP vCenter plug-intab does not show in the vSphere Web Client.
1. Log out of vCenter Web Client using the logout option.
2. In your web browser, clear the cache and history, and then close it.
3. From Windows Services, stop the VMware vSphere Web Client service.
4. On the Management VM, delete all files in this directory: C:\ProgramData\VMware\vSphere WebClient\vc-packages\vsphere-client-serenity
5. Start the VMware vSphere Web Client service.
