Medical Care During Pregnancy
See a doctor or obstetricianDue date: 9 months + 1 weekLater checkups – once a month for 6 months,
2 visits a month from 6th-8th months. Then 1 visit a week for 9th month
Discomforts of Pregnancy
Many go without any discomfort or concerns!Some may experience a lot of discomfort,
such as:-Nausea-Sleepiness-Heartburn-Short of breath-Muscle cramps-Lower back pain
Nutrition During Pregnancy
Role of NutrientsProtein: meat, fish, poultry, eggs, milk,
cheese, beans, tofu and nutsVitamins: folic acid, vitamin A, B, C, DMinerals: iron, calcium, phosphorousCarbohydrates & Fats: fruits, vegetables,
whole-grain breads and cereals. Most people get enough fat in their diet, fats should be avoided
