What is the HPE Nimble Storage Cup?

The Hewlett Packard Enterprise Nimble Storage Cup is a Formula 1-themed inter-partner sales competition which gives HPE partners the opportunity to achieve sales glory on the tracks.

Channel Partners across 11 countries in APAC are invited to compete to be the top team. Partners are split into leagues based on their HPE partner status, so they will be competing with similar-sized businesses.

The winning partners will get to catch the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Abu Dhabi at Yas Marina on 23-25 November, 2018.

To win, HPE partners will need to register their sales people as drivers. Once registered, drivers need to log as many HPE Nimble Storage deals on the Partner Ready Portal across the season.

The Leagues

The HPE Nimble Storage Cup is split into three competitive leagues. When a sales person registers as a driver, their respective partner will be automatically added as a team to its league. Every time a deal is registered or content is interacted with, championship points will be added to the partner’s overall score and increase their position on the grid automatically.

Drivers – How to win your league

The qualifying sales season kicks off on 23rd July 2018 so get training and start selling! Our HPE digital steward will allocate Championship Points - awarded for logging deals and interacting with sales enablement tools. If you’re joining the season late, you’ll need to put in some extra laps on the track, but every sale counts!

What you need to do for your team to win:

• Sell HPE Nimble Storage solutions and register your deals

• Refer other drivers to join the race

• Attend sales and pre-sales workshops

• Download sales trainings on the HPE Nimble Storage Cup website

• Complete quiz questions on the HPE Nimble Storage Cup website

The drivers’ championship bonus points will be collated as team scores and the partner from each league with the highest overall score will win the league.

What is HPE Nimble Storage Cup? The HPE Nimble Storage Cup is a Formula 1-themed inter-partner sales competition culminating with an award to the top performing partner company of tickets to the Formula 1 2018 Grand Prix in Abu Dhabi at Yas Marina on 23 – 25 November 2018.

Who is eligible for the program? This program is open to the APAC Platinum, Gold, Silver and Business Partners Channel Partners in Australia, New Zealand, Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam.

I am a Distributor, can my salespersons participate in this program? This program is only open to the Channel Partners’ salespersons. Distributors are not eligible for the program.

What is the program duration? The program will kick o on 23 July and run until 19 October 2018. Registration will open on 9 July 2018.

How do I register? You can log on to the campaign site on 9 July 2018 to register. You must register with a company email; any registration with a non-business email will not be accepted.

How many salespersons can register per company? Channel partners can register as many drivers within the organization.

What is the dierence between the 3 leagues? How do I know which league I am in? The league is based on the HPE partner status. Once you register with your company email, you will be automatically added into your team (partner-specific) and you will be competing with other teams in your league.

How do I earn points for my company? You can earn the championship points by logging into the HPE Nimble Storage Cup campaign site to download sales training materials, complete quiz questions, attend sales and pre-sales workshops, and most importantly, sell HPE Nimble Storage products and register your deals! The bigger the deal size, the more championship points awarded. The championship points will be collated and added to your team’s overall score.

Can championship points be awarded to deal registrations that are approved and preferred and supported? When approving a deal registration request for HPE Storage products, approvers can only select one partner. That partner is given the preferred status. There is no “supported” status in deal registrations for HPE Storage products.

Is the leaderboard real-time? Points will be awarded in real time when you register, interact with the sales enablement content and complete the online quizzes. Points for deal registration, deal size, attending pre-sales and sales workshop will be updated within 7 working days. The leaderboard score will be available for your viewing on the campaign site.

When will the winners be announced? The winners of the respective leagues will be announced on 31 October 2018.

How will the prizes be awarded? The prizes will be awarded to the winning organizations and not to the individual drivers/salespersons. It is at the company’s discretion to award the prize(s) to any of the individuals within their own organization
