The post of Regional Director is a strategic position which requires a person of high personal and professional integrity, with a distinguished record of academic achievement. This position is responsible for the overall management of the daily operations of the Regional Campus. The Regional Director will report to the Pro Vice Chancellor (Academic Affairs).

The post will be for a three (3) year contract which may be renewable on the basis of performance. RESPONSIBILITIESŸ Providing leadership, guidance and support to the Regional Campus in

order to ensure the achievement of the objectives set by the University;Ÿ Developing and establishing effective plans and structures for

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Ÿ Planning of audit assignments;Ÿ Evaluating the effectiveness and efficiency of the University's internal

controls;Ÿ Assessing compliance with financial policies and regulations;Ÿ Assessing the cost-effectiveness of all operations;Ÿ Evaluating risk levels in all Units of the institution and giving

recommendations to mitigate the identified risks;Ÿ Carrying out checks on how assets of the University are being

Ÿ Preparing working papers in accordance with IPPF and internal documentation requirements to support audit results and conclusions drawn;

Ÿ Ensuring that a complete and cross referenced audit engagement working paper file is maintained for every audit engagement;

Ÿ Conducting operational, compliance, financial and investigative audits as assigned; and

Ÿ Performing any other duties as may be assigned by the Senior Internal Auditor.

QUALIFICATIONSŸ A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or Software Engineering from a recognised university; andŸ A professional qualification in Information Systems Auditing such as Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) will be an added advantage;

REQUIRED EXPERIENCEŸ At least two (2) years relevant experience in IT auditing.

EDITOR, SCIENCE AND MATHEMATICS: MATERIALS DEVELOPMENT UNIT: NATIONAL CENTRE (1 POST)

The Editor Science and Mathematics is expected to develop, in collaboration with Faculty, the learning materials and learning/teaching approaches that support the University's policy on promoting STEM programmes and applying ODeL as the mode of learning delivery. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIESŸ Correct the grammar;Ÿ Simplify the language and explain the technical terms so that the

student can understand the concepts clearly;Ÿ Check on the smooth flow and cohesion of ideas;Ÿ Carry out correct punctuation;Ÿ Introduce variation in the learning/teaching methods and stimuli in

line with Open and Distance electronic-Learning ODeL;Ÿ Suggest points where activities should be placed in the units;Ÿ Suggest activities for consideration and insertion into the module by

the author and the programme coordinator;Ÿ Check on the relevance and use of illustrations;Ÿ Identify suitable juxtaposing of related prose and illustrations;Ÿ Facilitate the development of electronic modules/study guides that

support individual students to learn via online, multimedia and social

networking channels;Ÿ Carry out the editorial changes on both the flash disk and the hard

copy, so that the module should be ready for printing;Ÿ Present the module according to the Zimbabwe Open University

house-style (each unit to have introduction, smart objectives, activities, major and minor sub-headings illustrations, summary and references);

Ÿ Check on the coherence between the content, skills and the attitudes to be developed;

Ÿ Submit the flash disk and the hard copy to the Zimbabwe Open University, Materials Development Unit Manager;

Ÿ You are required to carry out these duties in a manner considered relevant by the Zimbabwe Open University; and

Ÿ Carrying out any other duties as assigned by the Manager, Materials Development Unit.
