Maharashtra Academy of Engineering & Educational Research (MAEER), Pune, established in year 1983 is a well- known education trust with 63 institutions delivering KG to PG education with over 60000 students. MIT College of Management (MITCOM), Pune is India's Sectoral B-School under the aegis of MAEER's MIT Group of Institutions. The HRD Committee of MCCIA provides a platform for networking and knowledge sharing between members through interactive events, write-ups and training programs relating to Human Resource Development topics and initiatives with a view to develop HR perceptions of members to enlighten them to enhance their ability to forge ahead in the competitive world.

Over the years, highly skilled and knowledge based jobs are increasing while low skilled jobs are decreasing. This calls for future skill mapping through proper HRM initiatives. Indian organizations are also witnessing a change in systems, management cultures and philosophy due to the global alignment of Indian organizations. There is a need for multi skill development.
