Transfer an Employee – 1. Manager Change (performed by existing manager)

1. Click the home icon in the top toolbar. Then click the My Team icon on the home page

2. An overview of your team members will appear. Note that you can click the Filter icon to

include Indirect Reports (employees who report to your direct reports). Also you can change

the view to a list view of your team members.

Transfer an Employee – 1. Manager Change (performed by existing manager)

4. The Employment Information tab will open by default. Note that you can select other tabs on

the left to view other information for the employee such as contact information and

compensation.

5. Click the Actions button on the top right. Select the appropriate action which you would like to

perform on the employee. Select Personal and Employment > Change Manager

o NOTE: This is if the transfer will result in a manager change. If no manager change,

please jump to page 7 on how to update job details.

Transfer - Change Manager

6. In the Change Manager screen choose the effective date on which the Manager Change

will take place by entering formatted date or by clicking on Calendar

7. If you need future- or post-date the change, the system will confirm if you wish to change the

Change Manager Date. Click the OK button to proceed

8. Next select the Change Manager Action dropdown.

10. To change an existing manager, under Manager Details, click the dropdown icon and

select Search

NOTE: Or you can begin typing the Last Name, First Name of the new manager in the

field, and the name should appear in the dropdown.

11. In the Search and Select popup, you can click Advanced button for more search

options. In the Basic mode, enter at least one field (Name, Department, Job, Email, or

Assignment Status).

NOTE: Name field search is Last Name, First Name

12. Click Search

13. Select the appropriate row of the new manager name, and click OK.

14. View the name of the new manager in the Manager Field. Select Line Manager as

Type. Currently we are only using Line Manager types.

15. You can also manage Direct Reports from this page. Click Select and Add to add new direct

reports to this employee. Click X to delete any existing direct reports. Or for any existing Direct

Reports, you can change their manager from this screen.

16. If you click Select and Add, a popup will appear. You can click Advanced for more search

options. In the Basic mode, you must enter at least one field (Name, Person Number, or

Manager). Click Search.

NOTE: Name search is by Last Name, First Name

17. In the Search Results for Manaager you can select the row or rows (Control + Row) and click

Apply. You can continue searching and adding until you are finished. Then click OK.

18. Once finished, click the Review button on the top right of screen. View the current and

proposed manager details.

19. Scroll down to view the Comments and Attachments section. Comments are REQUIRED.

Click the add ‘+’ icon to add a new comment.

20. To view a list of approvers for your transaction, expand the Approvers section (at very

bottom of page). It may take a minute to load. Names with a person icon are approvers. Names

with eyeglasses icon will receive a notification.

21. Click Submit at top of page. In the warning popup, click Yes. A confirmation screen will

appear, click OK.

22. You will be returned the Employee’s profile page. Click Done to return to the My Team

overview page.

23. Your request is then routed to your Line Manager and HR for approval. You will receive a

notification when your request has been approved.

6. In the Employment Details Page choose the effective date on which the promotion or

job change will take place by entering formatted date or by clicking on Calendar.

7. If you need to future or post-date the promotion, the system will confirm you wish to change

the “Promotion Date”. Click the Yes button to proceed.

8. Select the “Promotion Action” dropdown.

9. Select the appropriate reason for Promotion Reason from drop down

10. Complete the appropriate Job Details and other information as needed. Note if you

scroll down you can provide other details such as Location Details, Manager Details, and

Direct Reports.

11. Upon filling the required details in Employment Details Page, Click Next button

12. You will be taken to the “Compensation Details” page

13. If the promotion includes a salary modification, there are two means by which salary may

be adjusted. The first means is to modify either the “New Salary”, “Adjustment Amount”, or

“Adjustment Percentage”.

- Note that these three fields are linked – adjusting a value in any one of the three will result

in a dynamic calculation and update to the other two.

14. Please note – although the “Analyze Salary” button is visible, the underlying

functionality it points to is not rolled out at this time.

15.Once you’ve completed your proposed salary changes, click the “Next” button. You will be

taken to the “Roles” page

16.For now, there is no input required on the “Roles” screen (all Belcan employees are in the

role of BGS Employee). Click the “Next” button to move to the Review screen.

17.On the Review screen, current details and proposed details for the employee’s Job and

Salary may be seen under the “Job Details” and Compensation Details sections

20. If you’re satisfied with the contents of your Review, click the “Submit” button; if you need to

make changes, click the “Back” button.

21. You will be asked to verify you wish to complete the changes. Click the “Yes” button to

proceed Pending worker FYI notification will be triggered to the Line Manager

22. You will be shown a confirmation that your request was submitted. Click “OK”.

23. You will be returned the Employee’s profile page. Click Done to return to the My Team

overview page.

24. Your request is routed to your Line Manager and then HR for approval. You will receive a

notification when your Promotion/Job Change request has been approved.
