WP4 ObjectivesThe aim of this workpackage is to define SDI network services to enable trans-European sharing of habitats-related spatial data between public authorities and other stakeholders in the Community enabling the creation of value added services.

Page 3: Hsrs review 2013_04_v3

WP4 Specific Objectives• To analyze the current state of the art of SDI infrastructures for sharing spatial environmental data across Europe• To define a platform-neutral SDI architecture with a basic set of networking services in compliance with INSPIRE Directive for sharing environmental data• To deploy specific service applets, including interoperability and enabling services, on-demand from user communities and pilots for initial implementation and validation• To develop an invoking service toolkit integrating the service applets with the goal of facilitating the development of end-user services accessing habitats-related spatial data over time

Reference LaboratoryThe HABITATS Reference Laboratory is a central hub with the support of global data, but also supporting cross scenarios implementations, and the HABITATS pilot applications, as implementations of single HABITATS pilot cases, which will also be used for testing the sharing of local data and metadata.
