Parent Advisory Council Elections Our next PAC meeting will be held on November 13 th from 6-7 pm to elect new executive members, brainstorm events for the year, and set budget priorities. Please see the school web site for opportunities to get involved with PAC initiatives. School Closed – November 8 th & 11 th A reminder that school will be closed on Friday, November 8 th for a Professional Development Day and Monday, November 11 th for Remembrance Day. Remembrance Day Assembly Our Remembrance Day assembly will be held on Thursday, November 7 th at 10:30 a.m. All students will be given a poppy to wear at the assembly and donations to the poppy fund will be collected on that day. Students who belong to Brownies, Cubs, Sparks, Beavers, Guides, Scouts or Cadets are asked to wear their uniforms at the assembly. Christmas Concert Our Christmas Concert will be on Tuesday, December 10 th with performances at 1:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. All students are asked to arrive for the evening concert at 6:15 p.m. promptly and go to their classrooms. Doors open for the afternoon performance at 12:45 p.m. and at 6:00 p.m. for the evening performance. Students may be picked up in their classrooms following the concert. It is extremely important that all students attend the evening performance. Halloween Activities We had a wonderful Halloween parade and would like to thank the many parents and relatives for joining us. Thank you also to the WE Student Leadership Team for planning a spooky Haunted House and collecting food items for the Surrey Food Bank for the “WE SCARE HUNGER” initiative. Juice Boxes & Drink Containers Students who have a juice box or drink container in their lunch must take it home to be recycled. We do not have facilities this year to wash and recycle individual drink containers. Volleyball Volleyball season is currently underway with the teams participating in school games with neighboring schools. Thank you to Mrs. Hiddleston, Mrs. Sloback and Mrs. Ordeman for coaching.
