    1. Define the Amoebiasis - Amoebiasis can be

    defined as an acute or

    chronic inflammation that

    is caused by the parasiticamoeba,

    Entamebahistolitica. This

    is generally contracted by

    water and any prepared

    foods infected due to

    poor hygienic condition

    and that might cause

    contamination. It isfeatured by watery

    diarrhea,bloody

    stools,and feverish

    conditions.

    y vomiting: This may be anindication of severe infection inthe gastrointestinal tract.

    y diarrhea: Persons with mildamoebiasis may pass stool atleast three to eight times a day.The stool may be soft with specksof mucus and blood.

    y bloody stools: This is anindication of chronic or moresevere amoebiasis. Usually,individuals may pass bloody,

    liquid stools of at least 10 to 20times per day.

    y abdominal pain

    y sudden weight loss

    y abdominal cramps

    y nausea

    y loss of appetite

    y fever

    y fatigue: This can result due tothe loss of a lot of liquid in thebody.

    y intestinal gas

    y rectal pain during movement ofbowel

    -Amoebiasis if left untreated, may

    affect other organs of the body.The offending parasite may

    invade other organs via blood and

    lead to

    -liver abscess,

    -lung abscess,

    -brain abscess or

    -in extremes instances

    inflammation of lining of heart

    4. Demonstrate beginning

    skills in making oral

    rehydration solution

    which is called pericarditis.

    Liver abscess is the most common

    complication of amoebiasis.

    - How to prepare:

    *for 1 glass

    1 glass of water

    1 teaspoon of sugar

    pinch of salt

    PROCEDURE- 1 glass of water

    - Scoop 1 teaspoon of sugar

    -Mix it with water

    - take a pinch of salt

    -Put this into the water and mix

    well.

    * for 1 Liter 1 Liter of water

    4 tablespoon sugar

    1 tablespoon salt

    PROCEDURE

    - Measure 1liter of drinking water

    in to the container

    - Scoop 1 tablespoon of salt

    -Mix it with water-Taste the salt and water. it

    should not be very salty.

    - take 4 tablespoon of sugar.

    -Put this into the water and mix

    well.

    -This will only be used in 24

    hours.
