Introduction to Mammologix

Introduction to MammologixBackgroundi/oTrak, the parent company of Mammologix, was founded in 1995. It was created with a commitment towards excellence and a desire to become the leader in providing the nation's mammography imaging practices with the easiest, accurate and most convenient method for keeping up specific responsibilities prescribed by the Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA).

HistoryOriginally, i/oTrak-Mammologix began as a reseller of software designed to handle the collection and reporting of mammography medical outcomes. After the first year of working with mammography facilities throughout the Southeastern United States, i/oTrak-Mammologix's founder began to recognize a common problem. Despite the investment in computer hardware and software to collect and analyze data being required by MQSA, mammography facilities remained plagued by trying to maintain compliance. Instead of these large investments in technology actually offering a higher level of knowledge and understanding, the human resources required to operate and generate the information from the computer systems was unavailable. Training of staff was costly, hardware/software upgrades ongoing. Finding available staff to accomplish the inputting and processing of the data became a challenge.

Adopting the growing trend of shifting non-core tasks to outsourcing service suppliers in the mid-1990's, i/oTrak-Mammologix moved away from selling software to developing an Outsource Service Provider (OSP) model. This transition allowed mammography facilities serviced by i/oTrak-Mammologix to re-direct their focus on performing their core business of patient care.

Fast Forward to TodayAs i/oTrak has grown, it has moved beyond offering services and solutions to only mammography facilities. It formally formed the Mammologix division in April 2002, to ensure continuity of care and a dedicated team of more than 50 individuals remain 'at the ready' to serve its clients throughout the United States.

Today, Mammologix has become the nation's leader in business outsourcing for mammography facilities. Our mission is: 'We take care of the data. You take care of the patient.'

Mammologix joins its sister division, Epiphanyware within i/oTrak's family of services. Each member of the i/oTrak organization may be found on the Internet at; www.mammologix.com, www.epiphanyware.com, and www.iotrak.com.

Fact Sheet Mammologix is the nation's largest independent mammography business process

outsourcing provider for medical auditing and patient tracking services.

Since 1995, Mammologix has provided medical auditing and tracking for mammography facilities for over 5.1 million patients.

Mammologix processes between 2,000 to 4,500 mammography related documents daily. These include mammography, ultrasound or any other breast imaging reports, breast pathologies and follow-up confirmations on patients overdue for recommended follow-up.

Mammologix produces nearly 15,000 MQSA audits annually. These reports are provided both in paper and Adobe® Portable Document Format (PDF).

Mammologix produces an average of 2000 mammography lay letters daily. These letters are produced using i/oTrak's Seal-n-Secure communication system and made available for archive using Adobe® Portable Document Format (PDF).

The Mammologix library contains over 800 custom-designed patient letters. We design these for each client's individually desired messages.

Mammologix's services have been successfully reviewed by over 1000 MQSA inspectors throughout the United States and Puerto Rico.

The typical savings by a Mammologix client is 37% over the cost of performing the same services in-house with mammography reporting software.
