What is the Miss Wide Bay Australia
Bundy Thunder Quest
Entry is open to single females 16yrs and over.
The quest is a twelve week fundraising event
with all entrants acting as ambassadors for
Queensland’s Biggest Powerboat Racing
Spectacular,
The Wide Bay Australia Bundy Thunder.
It’s a great opportunity to represent this
fantastic event while making a difference by
raising funds for the Leukaemia Foundation.
Have a great time, gain lots of new skills,
experiences and meet new friends.
The enthusiastic ambassadors will raise funds for the Leukaemia
Foundation of Queensland over a twelve week period.
Last year over $75, 000 was raised by 19 entrants.
The money raised by these young women will go directly towards
assisting patients and families living with leukaemias, lymphomas,
myelomas and related blood disorders.
The Quest is judged on the entrants knowledge of the event, the
Leukaemia Foundation, Tourist attractions and the
ability to be a great ambassador. There is no swimwear involved in
the quest. Entrants will be decked out in designer uniforms and in
an evening Gown at the Pre Race Party. There are eight prizes on
offer - details in Prize section of booklet.
Bundaberg Media Centre -Media Award A weeks worth of work experience at the Bundaberg Media Centre
comprising of Radio & Television.
Aspects would include components such as, Sea Patrol Sidekick,
promotional assistance, reception & sales assistance and depending on
that weeks jobs that are booked in, the winner may be able to
accompany our camera man out to a shoot for a commercial.

The Quest will finish with a Gala Pre Race Party on Saturday 31st
October in the Bundaberg Civic Centre. Last year’s party was a
huge success with more than five hundred people attending.
The Miss Wide Bay Australia Bundy Thunder Quest coincides
with Queensland’s biggest power boat racing weekend held at
Sandy Hook in Bundaberg kicking off on Friday November 6th
with a welcome to the city and meet and greet event. Everyone
is invited to get up close and personal with the drivers, crews
and the magnificent power boats. Backed up by two days of
adrenaline-packed continuous racing action and excitement at
Sandy Hook on the 7th & 8th November. This huge event will see
Australia’s fastest drivers compete in over 25 races per day in
several classes.
All funds raised by the Miss Wide Bay Australia Bundy Thunder
Quest and the Wide Bay Australia Bundy Thunder Pre Race
Party go directly to the Leukaemia Foundation.
Basic Terms & Conditions
Entrants must be 16 years old or over as of
November 1st 2009
Entrants must obtain a Business Sponsor to the
amount of $400 (includes entrants uniform, sash
and Pre Race Party Ticket) Evening gown to be
supplied by entrant.
To Qualify for judging entrants must raise a
minimum of $500 for the Leukaemia Foundation of
Queensland by 9th October 2009.
Fundraising opens 1st August 2009 and closes 27th
October 2009.
Entrants are required to sell a minimum of 24
tickets for The Wide Bay Australia Bundy Thunder
Pre Race Party to be held on Saturday 31st October.
(1 complimentary ticket to entrant,
2 complimentary to sponsor plus 21 to be
sold) Ticket cost $70.00- includes 2 course sit
down meal and entertainment. (Tables of 24)
Entrants must agree to abide by the rules and
regulations of the Bundy Thunder Committee and
the Leukaemia Foundation of Queensland

Entrants will also be expected to be
ambassadors leading up to the event and to
attend various promotional functions.
Entrants must attend at least one additional official promotional activity in their home
town during the quest.
Leukaemia Foundation will provide raffle tickets and all
prizes. Other fundraising events can also be organised
with approval from the Leukaemia Foundation.

Business Sponsors
Responsibilities & Acknowledgements Sponsors are required to meet the following:
Assist their entrant with their fundraising activities
Provide sponsorship of $400 to cover the costs of the official outfit
and other related costs.
Assist their entrant to sell as many tickets to the Pre Race Party
Saturday 31st October as possible; the minimum requirement is a table of 24. (2 complimentary sponsors tickets, one complimentary
entrants ticket plus 21 tickets to be sold) $70 per ticket includes two
course dinner and entertainment. Sponsors to supply colour Logo (pdf format) to be used for advertising purposes.
