The name “Hudson” came from J.L. Hudson, a Detroit department store entrepreneur and founder of Hudson’s

Department Store. Mr. Hudson along with 7 other business men banded together to create the Hudson

Motor Car Company in 1909.

Fast forward a few decades to 1984 when a man by the name of Travis Bryant decided to build a restaurant that utilized that same basic business philosophies that that Hudson’s Motor Car Company did. A philosophy based on quality products, pride in workmanship and care for the customer. This is the same concept we have crafted and molded over the last 20 years to provide our guest

with the most excellent and fine tuned Hudson’s experience.

Over the yers Hudson’s Grill Has enjoyed continuing to grow and thrive, serving the community by being a

staple of the U.P. for amazing food as well as a proud supporter or Northern Michigan University and many

other local organizations.
