brain; the unique mechanisms behind our 5 senses; disorders of nervous and sensory systems.•  • Musculoskeletal Systems• Investigation of the form and function of the muscular and skeletal systems, as well as

connective tissues; sports-related injuries and degenerative diseases; muscle contractions; sports physiology and training

• • Cardiovascular System• Investigation of the mammalian cardiovascular system; diversity of vasculature; blood flow

through a closed circulatory system; the heart as a pump (including heart disease); immune system

•  • Respiratory, Digestive, and Excretory Systems • An examination of how matter cycles and energy flows through the body, with focus on gas

exchange (respiratory), nutrient exchange (digestive), and elimination of wastes (excretory); diseases & disorders that disrupt the homeostatic regulation/”normal” functioning of these systems
