Overview Human Annunciator II™ is designed to provide a highly reliable method of storing and reproducing high quality audio using nonvolatile memory to store phrases. This audio playback unit needs no computers and easily mounts on machinery or in instruments, and works with an AC or DC adaptor and speaker. The quality of the output is far superior to “synthesized” speech. Since the audio is recorded, the tone and inflection of the person speaking are accurately reproduced by the module.

In the development of this product, we paid particular attention to the audio output quality. Our goal is to deliver the finest quality audio. The sweet spot for most applications using either male or female voices and still giving a good long play time is 11 KSPS and 16 bits – this is true for mono or stereo. If you want to reproduce a singer and have it sound really good to just about everyone then up the sampling rate to 22 KSPS and keep the 16 bits.

There are many applications where Human Annunciator II provides superior performance. These include military simulators, danger announcements for high-speed machinery and vehicles, voice feedback for remote control and audio echoes for computer input applications over local telephone lines or via radio.

Programming of purchased boards is included. Sound sources include equations, WAV files, your audio on tape or CD/DVD, or a word list. A one time charge for studio recording and talent. You can use broadcast professionals in a studio environment to create thesource materials for the products. If you provide a WAV file we can program the Human Annunciator II using our convenient file generation program. This program is available to our customers should you decide to program the boards. The programs are stored in Flash Memory and can be erased and reprogrammed using any Windows® PC with a serial interface, either RS-232 or USB 2.0. An adapter is available to convert USB 2.0 to RS-232 if you do not have an RS-232 port on your PC.
