Human influence on environment The environment is the natural environment which has been transformed by people! It includes the relief, water, the air, vegetation and the soil! These are the elements over which man has intervened through his activities. Each element has an important role in creating the natural environment. At the same time, this elements are connected each other. So , the relief influence the climate! Then the climate associated wth the relief cause the spread of vegetation, and vegetation cause the spread of the fauna in order to keep that unit called the natural environment.

environment which has been transformed by people!

Brief introduction – Pollution In order to live better, humans

have created settlements, cultivated land, built roads and factories, that means they has transformed graduated the natural environment. The natural environment can be used to support human, but that can also destroy it. Unfortunately it are many species of animals and plants endangered, pollution of air, water and soil.

Most times, the speaches about human impact on the natural environment are reffered to pollution. In reality, man action is far beyond the sphere of pollution and that’s the fairest way to talk about destroying the environment.

There are several major sources of damaging the natural environment, as a result to human activity. These pathways of damaging are not acting separately in time and space, but often aggression is exercised simultaneously on different component of the environment! Pollution is one of these ways. Pollution represents actually the introduction in the environment of natural pollutants, but especially artificial resulting from industry, agriculture, transports, which represents the waste of human activity.

Examples of pollution:-administration of chemical fertilizers can have undesirable consequences for the environment; The chemicals get into the groundwater and from here to wells and springs, threatening human and animals health.-seas and oceans are affected by the oil flowing from different accidents; Oil is resistant to bacterial action, and that’s the reason for persisting so long time; it is forming a stain on the surface of the water which is preventing diffusion of oxygen in water.-industrialization, urbanization accentuated of road traffic, air traffic, road constructions, the unprecedented spread of audio and visual equipment have led to significant noise pollution; another negative effect of industrialization is pollution by dumping solid waste and toxic gases resulting from technological processes.

Pollution is just one of the major ways to destroy the natural environments, but there are also other major sources of degradation as a result of human activity.

Over exploitation of mineral resources, forests, fields, soil, plants and animals had negative effects. A result of this over exploitation it was reduced the mineral resources and forest areas, destroyed fields and soil, disappearance of many species, degradation of the natural environment by subsidence and landslides.

Making arrangements of large areas like: mining works, water works( storage dams, canals, irrigation systems), leads to destruction of natural and artificial environments.

Maintaining life on earth and survival of the future generations are possible only by Reducing the uncontrolled actions of man over nature. Therefore, one important question that arises today in front of people is that of environmental protection.

Environmental conservation is considering using it with care, avoiding waste or destruction. To protect the environment it should be created a system of organizing research programs and knowledge of environmental degredation.

Protecting the environment requires taking action based on laws that prohibit any formactivity in certain regions. These regions carries a designation of nature reserves.

Man - friend or foe of the environment?Man is part of nature. All the elements of nature, living or non-living, are in closecontact and therefore creates a natural balance.Man has used natural materials and created some others without realizing that it candamage the environment. In history, man has passed different periods watching his relationship with nature.

Hunter-gatherer periodMan hasn’t created imbalances in nature at this time. But the first appearance of the fire caused the first vegetation fires .

Farmer period Man has only partially changed the natural balance. Areas of forest were cut to be used in agriculture. Along with agriculture and it rises a new occupation, livestock . Overgrazing has led to degradation of many areas.

Industrial periodDiscovering new car, applying new technologies have facilitated the development ofindustries. This helps us to cultivate new species of plants, they become raw materials for various industries. They began to use natural fuels exaggerated. Due to intense human activity has increased the amount of waste. It appeares to be a  destructive factor for nature - pollution.

Human activites with effect over the natural environment:-logging-transhumance process led to soil erosion on sloping landtechnology-development (column machine factory chimney)-demographic growth-exploitation of forests as: source of fuel, raw materials for industry as a construction material, to obtain land.

Advantages and disadvantages of technology development  Through his work, man extracts his raw materials from nature, but also he throws in nature a wide range of environmental products, most toxic. These products pollute the soil, destroying it and change it.The industry has sought to replace manual labor with the mechanized. Sustained by steam power, that of the nuclear power it has led to increased ratio between man and environment. Industry is the main source of environmental pollution with next elements:-scale process technology-large amount of impurities released into the air and watera number of factories discharging waste with high content (from mine)

If these residues are not discharged by rivers treatment it put the life of fish(fish breeding).

Agriculture - also contributed to environmental pollution through the use of chemical fertilizers. They go through the slope flow in rivers and lakes and cause destruction ofplants and animals or even death.- livestock farms are important sources of pollution of both air and water. For an animal to gain weight 1 kg, it eliminates between 6 and 25 pounds of waste. They go through the water used to clean the stables, and then go to rivers and lakes with high risk to pollute it.

Page 13: Human influence on environment The environment is the natural environment which has been transformed by people! It includes the relief, water, the air,

Transport - is another powerful source of pollution with next elements:-irrational location of communication routes-release exhaust gases into the atmosphere-discharge of waste oil into the sea due to accidents: the phenomenon of black tide, a phenomenon that adversely affects water quality and make great releases in the marine landscape

The effects of human activity on the environment:

The appearance of green vegetation on the surface of water is known as eutropie. This green layer on the surface of water acts as a thick coating that sunlight can not penetrate.Overexploitation of flora and fauna has led to reduction of species to their extinction . Massive hunt for some animal species led to the destruction or even their disappearance.Smogu of the city - the exhaust gases emitted from cars associated with industrial gases bring in the atmosphere pollutants. They can create a suffocating fog, especially when there is no wind to disperse pollutants. Pollutants can affect breathing.Acid-rain gases mix with moisture in air and precipitation becomes acidic. Acid rain destroys plants and animals. Deregulation of the natural balance of the atmosphere is bad to the earth. The global warming will increase sea levels, regions below sea level will be swallowed by water. As population size increases, more and more coal, oil, gas and wood are burned to produce energy needed for heating, cooking, transportation, construction and supplies necessary for achieving people. Gasesreleased into the combustion of these fuels are called greenhouse gases because itlets light through, but trap the heat released by the earth's surface. The result is global warming.

Wastes are some residues from an industrial process and often can be exploited for other purposes.

Classification:- waste resulting from the activities in the household or in units of public administration:-plant debris -animal-waste-packaging paper-plastic-packaging -glass-packaging -metal-packaging-damaged parts of installations  b) industrial waste: ashes, sawdust c) Construction waste from wood, glass d) agro-livestock wastes: faeces -wastes are hazardous due to large recycling period. -Recycling is the processing operation of waste (paper, rubber, glass, iron) in order to give back the material in business.

Our planet is suffering because of negligence of people who pollute the environment. They are not always aware of how bad they are, but with our help we will make you think about the effects of their activities on the life of the planet and, of course, on us all. In desire to have a comfortable life, humans have polluted more or less seriously, soil, water and air, leading to extinction of many species of plants and animals. People are confronted, in turn, with various illnesses caused by pollution and civilization interventions have caused extensive damage to the natural environment. Together we understand that we live on the same planet and we should all care! What nature has created millions of years we can destroy in a few days, months or years. To avoid damaging the environment, you must know its laws and act according them, must learn to protect and conserve the natural environment elements. The future of our planet lies on our hands! Together, we can have a clean and healthy planet!
