• Rejuvenate: To make (someone) feel or look young, healthy, or energetic again. To give new strength or energy to. To restore to an original or new state.

Flesh

Human Spirit’s Primary Function• The essence of God’s image in us that makes us

unique. • Part of us that communicates with God and

others in very deep and meaningful way with or without words.

• Human spirit will have functions like the Holy Spirit. That which is born of the Spirit is spirit. John 3:6.

• Like Holy Spirit, the primary function for our spirit is to receive from God and communicate life to our body and soul, emotions. Without our spirit, life departs and the body dies.

1. The human body apart form the spirit is lifeless... James 2:26.

2. Spirit returns to the God who gave it. Ecc 12:7

Human Spirit’s Secondary Functions• Comfort and strength John 14-16; Ps 42:5;

2 Cor 7:13• Revelation--Intuition. Holy Spirit reveals

truth to us within our spirit and we mirror that truth. Isaiah 40:13-4; John, 16:13; 1Cor 2:11; Luke 1:41-44; Mt 16:16.

• Convicts. Rom 2:15, Heb 4:7• Creates. Holy Spirit creates = we create.

Job 33:4; John 20:22• Empower. The strong spirit of a man

sustains him in bodily pain or trouble. Prov 18:14.

• Facilitates. Mark 16:15-8.

EBOLA

• Targets the dendritic cells in the immune system. These are the cells that normally tells other cells to produce antibodies. Hides so that it won’t be detected as foreign.

• Replicates rapidly in the cells• Over time, it overwhelms the cells

and cells burst and dies. Gets encountered by other cells that do produce the antibodies.

• Cytokines, tells the blood vessels to become more permeable to let antibodies through, are released as a defense response.

• Lots of infected cells all bursting around causing a cytokine storm. This leads to overly permeable blood vessels that blood cells can seep through and cause bleeding all over, organ failure, inability to maintain blood pressure and death 50-70% of the hosts.

God breathed His breath (Spirit) into us at conception. Human spirit characteristics is alive at birth even though our brain and body may not have been developed yet.

Truths imparted to the spirit man at Conception

• Protective Gift of Limits1. We are created beings and not God2. We do not have the capacity to rule,

judge, love as God does. 3. Thankfully, we also don’t have all the

responsibilities God does and all the roles He plays.

• Resulting in a deep understanding that even though we are not God and not perfect, we are a source of joy and delight.

STEP 1: Infection of Lies at conception

•Attacks the gift that God gave to us: Limitations are restrictive and bad. He is not trying to protect You, He is just limiting You from excellence. You are not God and that’s not acceptable. •You should be able to do the things He

does, especially knowing all good and evil.). Not knowing is unacceptable. •Diminish identity and joy.

Truths Imparted to the Spirit Man in the Womb

• Dealing with “attachment” via the placenta:

1. It’s okay to be dependent and have needs beyond my capabilities.

2. It’s wonderful that what I need is provided for without me asking.

3. Someone bigger than me is in control and that’s okay.

4. ** God is my filter. I can trust Him.A. Spiritually filters out and puts boundaries on

spiritual junk.B. Physically gave me organs to excrete waste

products.

Truths Imparted to the Spirit Man in the Womb

• Tolerating change, newness, not knowing.. Peace with not knowing, enjoying fascination and discovery, exploration. Knowing things will be made known when it’s time.

• Peace with expansion..knowing that what is needed will be provide for or revealed in the right time. Peace with growth.. I’ve got room to grow.

• Provision is just provide.. No performance needed.. No obligations of pay back required ..

• ‘working’ with time, at peace with it.. Not fighting the natural course..

• At peace with not been in control.. Everything is taken care of by someone ‘bigger than me’ and one who is in control.

Truths Imparted to the Spirit Man in the Womb

• Continue building on the Gift of Limits. It’s okay for me to depend on others. God is bigger than me and I can rely on Him.

• Gift of Mysteries, of the unknown, of the ‘unseen’. Resulting in a deep rest and peace of knowing “though I don’t know and I’m no in control, it’s ok.” Again, not knowing is protective.

• Note: that the one part of faith – certain of things not seen. I don’t need ‘evidence in the flesh’.

Step 2: Intra Utero Replication and Multiplication of Lies

• Limitations are bad. I am not God and that’s not acceptable. There is a limit to my ability to control things. Change is not controllable; it is bad. Not been able to control my surroundings is a bad limitation.

• Not knowing is unacceptable I don’t know what is happening to me and my surroundings. Mysteries are restrictive. Why does He hide things from me? Note the warping of what is meant to be protective to that of restriction.

• Diminish identity and joy. • Fear of rejection.

Step 2: Intra Utero Replication and Multiplication of Lies

• Attacks the gift that God gave to us: Limitations are bad. You are not God and that’s not acceptable. Change is not controllable; it is bad. Not been able to control my surroundings is a bad limitation.

• Not knowing is unacceptable I don’t know what is happening to me and my surroundings. Mysteries are bad. Why does He hide things from me?

• Diminish identity and joy. Faith is built on evidence of the Flesh. Something is wrong with me. (Inability to find rest and peace).

• Fear of rejection. Fear of lack of control or knowledge. Fear of lack of protection and power. Fear of change. Note: the very thing we were trying to get away from, restriction, actually became the end result. Notice also who we end up blaming for the imprisonment—God!!

Step 4: Engage Defenses

Human Limbic System: Border Structures that supports adrenaline flow, emotional behavior, motivation, long term memory.

Cortex develop later than the subcortical limbic structures.

Effects of Adrenaline/Epinephrine

•Acceleration of heart and lung action• Inhibition of digestive

system •Constriction of blood

vessels to shunt blood to heart, lungs and muscles including the brain.

•Auditory exclusion (hearing loss)•Dilation of pupils to

see with increased clarity but with tunnel vision (loss of peripheral vision)

• Increased blood pressure, heart rate, blood sugar and fats to supply muscles with more energy. (chronic triggers sets one up for heart disease, , high blood pressure, diabetes, etc)

• Speeds up blood clotting function to prevent excess blood loss (can contribute to ‘stickiness of blood and strokes)

• Increased perspiration to prevent over-heating due to increased metabolism.

2. Flight response – These tasks are not my responsibilities. Let God be God.

3. Freeze response – I don’t know, let me inquire of the One who does know.

Satan’s tactic

• Remove God from the defense mechanisms.

• Remove dependence on God. • Promote self reliance. Reliance

on anything or anyone other than God.

Warped Belief System Leads to Warped Defenses

• Limitations are bad. You are not God and that’s not acceptable. • Change is full of

things I cannot control. Not been able to control my surroundings is a bad limitation.

• Fight: I am going to make myself acceptable. I need to control things around me and resist change. (performance control freak) I’m going to be like God.• Flight: I can’t do things I’m not

good at and I can’t control. I’ll do anything to make myself or the threat of change go away. (shy, avoidant, appeasing)• Freeze: Maybe if I don’t see it or

hide, it will blow over. I don’t know what to do. Stuck. (No individual thought and drive, blind follower)

Warped Belief System Leads to Warped Defenses

• Not knowing is unacceptable.• I don’t know

what is happening to me and my surroundings. Mysteries are bad. Why does He hide things from me?

• Fight: I’m going to learn everything. I need to know everything. I’m not going to trust God/anyone who hides information from me. (inflexible control, obsessive performance drive). Can also be know or don’t know, nothing is going to be in my way. (reckless risk taking)• Flight: I cannot do anything I don’t know

how to do. Nope, nope, nope, I can’t try. • Freeze: I’ll just hang out till someone tell

me what to do. Can’t blame me if I don’t know. May procrastinate because one doesn’t have information. Unable to make decisions.

Warped Belief System Leads to Warped Defenses

• Diminish identity and joy. Something is wrong with me. (Inability to find rest and peace). • Fear of rejection.

Fear of lack of control or knowledge. Fear of lack of protection and power. Fear of change.

• Fight: Feelings don’t matter! (task oriented). I don’t care what you think. (can become narcissistic)• Flight: Denial. Anxiety. No, I can’t

try b/c I will fail. I will hide my weakness so no one will reject me. They can’t control me or reject me if they cannot find me. (Emotionally unavailable, shy evasive, inability to receive love intimacy, comfort)• Freeze: Tell me what to do. Is this

right or is that right? Not able to take initiative. (enmeshed, dependence, co-dependency, needy). I am useless, helpless.

Other pressures outside the baby

• Generational curses, Occult curses

• Generational/cultural expectations

• Circumstances of the conception• Abuse• Health problems• Nutrition and care• (pls refer to prior sessions)

Ebola Satan

• Implant lies in us that these templates becomes “normal” to us and passes by us as the normal way of life.

• Multiples the lies by feeding us evidence through our flesh.

• Engages our defense mechanism to work against self.

• Eventually we will self destruct.

Prenatal stress• Decrease rate of

cell proliferation in the hippocampus.

• Cell death in the Hypothalamic-Pituitary Axis. Reduces structural plasticity and reduces the response to stress in adulthood.

Restoration prayer: the Rule of “R”s

• Resolve = Forgive; Repent (if you think some of your stuff affected your child)

• Renounce/Release/Reject• Rebuke (spiritual forces) and

Reinforce the blood and the cross.• Replace• Receive• Restore (Rejuvenate), live it by

intentionally speaking blessings.

Activity• What is your gut reaction when faced with

things, people or circumstances you cannot control? What does that tell you about your core beliefs and core fears?

• What is your gut reaction when faced with the unknown? Identify the core belief and fears leading to that reaction.

• How is the Flesh (self on throne and perpetuating the belief system?

• Pick Embracing the Gift of Limits of Gift of Mysteries to pray. Lead your partner through the one they picked.

Keep confidentiality and keep it relational. Listen and hold of on feedback unless asked for.

Moving on with Birth

• Physical/Emotional aspect• Spiritual truths and gift from

God

Important Hormones in Labor

• Oxytocin• B-endorphins• Catecholamines (adrenaline and

noradrenaline) – Fight or flight hormones

• Prolactin

Oxytocin: Hormone of love• Made in the hypothalamus and stored in

the pituitary gland. • Secreted in sexual activity. Increases

bonding experience, love and altruism. • Secreted in large amounts in pregnancy

to enhance nutrient absorption, reduce stress and conserve energy.

• Levels peaks at birth through stimulation when the baby descends. During labor, it causes rhythmic uterine contractions.

Oxytocin: Hormone of love• Produce in increasing amounts

by the baby during labor and minutes after birth. Ongoing production is enhanced by skin to skin, eye to eye contact and baby’s first attempts at suckling.

• After labor, the continuous contractions pushes out the placenta and stops the bleeding of the uterus.

B-endorphins: The Joy hormone

• Also secreted from the pituitary gland during sexual activity, pregnancy, birth, and breastfeeding. Induces feelings of pleasure, euphoria, dependency, mutual dependency.

• Stress hormone released under duress and pain (exercise) and acts a painkiller.

• Facilitates release of prolactin for lactation.

Catecholamines: Fight-Flight hormones• Secreted from the adrenal glands

(above the kidneys) in response to fright, anxiety, hunger, or cold as well as excitement.

• Released when the fight or flight response is triggered.

• Inhibits oxytocin production to slow or inhibit labor. (In the wild, it’s so the mammal can leave a dangerous situation and then continue the birthing process when it’s safe.)

Catecholamines (CA)

• When birth is imminent in natural labor, it does the opposite. There is a surge of CA which activates the fetal ejection reflex. It provides the sudden rush of energy, alertness to birth the baby quickly.

• The surge in the baby helps protect against hypoxia, cases the baby to be wide eye, alert, inhaling air (to expand the lungs for the first time).

Prolactin: The Mothering Hormone

• Produced and secreted mainly by the pituitary gland.

• Level rises steeply at the end of labor and peak with birth.

• Hormone of submission or surrender. Helps the mom put the needs of the baby first.

• Also in breast milk and plays a role in development and maturation of the newborn’s neuroendocrine (brain-hormone) system.

Induced Labor

• Synthetic Oxytocin Pitocin or Syntocinon is used to speed up or lengthen the contractions

• Problems: 1. Pitocin can cause sustained

increased tone. In severe cases can deprive the baby from oxygen.

2. Cannot cross the barrier to the brain or the natural effects of bonding, love and altruism.

Epidurals

• Catheter introduce anesthetics to the spinal cord to relieve pain.

• Inhibits the B-endorphin release.

• Inhibits the oxytocin peak. (lengthen and increase self effort for second stage.)

Newborn’s “Role” in Labor

• Babies contributes to the surge of oxytocin and aids the contractions.

• As noted earlier. CA is also released as a hormone of excitement. When birth is imminent, a surge release of the CA propels the baby out. Babies can contribute to this surge.

Truths Imparted at Birth

• You are ready and prepared. You have a purpose and a destiny. Ready to be commissioned and take part?

• Gift of Participation, Drive, Choice: You have an active part in life. Life does not just ‘happen’ to you.

• You get to pursue dreams and hopes. You get to learn and explore.
