When we can... Each one of us has a different ministry; each one works different. Each one of you has a

ministry, a separate ministry. All that comes into Christ has a ministry.

That's right. Not only the preacher, but you have a ministry to something, you--something you can do. And (I hope this don't sound sacrilegious), but usually

God has to drive you into your correct ministry.


Some Methodist brethren, the other day, had just received the Holy Ghost

(they're farmer's up in Indiana), and oh, they was just all of fire. And he said,

"I've been reading some books," said, "Brother Branham, should we all come together now and seek for

our ministry?"


I said, "No, you'll ruin yourself doing that." I said, "You don't do that." I said, "A man that's always seeking for God to

do something, search and such-and-such a things, usually don't amount to

very much. It's the man that doesn't want to do it; that's the one God can use. See, look at--look at Moses, and Paul, and different ones running from it, trying to get away from it.


You take a fellow that's always, "Lord, I'll do this, if You'll do this," and things

like that; God knows he'd be a stuffed shirt anyhow. So He just

takes somebody who don't want to do it and say, "Maybe I can use him a little while, till he gets to be one." So that's

about it. It's--you try to get away from it all the time.


Great ministries has always been somebody trying to get away from

it (See?), not one who's always... 'Cause, let God do something for them, and then they're all puffed out, big, and "how great" and everything. But a man that doesn't want to do it, just--he just

forced to do it, and then he wants to get away from it as quick as he can, get out of sight. And that's usually the way

that God works.

81 And I've always found out that the man that humbles himself is the man

that God exalts. When you take a person with his chest out, knows everything, and you can't tell him

nothing, and he is arrogant, and--and, well, that--that's the person that

never gets anywhere. But you take that person that humbles themselves

The main thing is, love God and humble yourself with it.

52 Notice that it takes the--the weakest and the rejected, and

practically every hero God ever had on the front line was that type of person. A person that was rejected, a person that thought he was insufficient, a person that had no ability at all, then that

person's just in good shape so God can start using them.


That's right. When they feel like that they can't, they haven't got nothing,

that's when God can take ahold of them and do something with them. See?

When... But when we are thinking that we're able to do it, then God can't use us because we're wanting to do it

ourselves.


When we are insufficient ourselves, then we are subjects to yield to God's Spirit. As long as we think that we can do it, then we can't do it. But when we

get to a place where we know we can't do it, then we yield ourself to God and He does it. So then if it's us

trying to do it we'll fail, but if we'll just yield ourself to God then God can't fail.

Why don't it humble you to the Word of God? If you ever go there, you'll come out humble. How can you want to be

some big something in your organization with a feather in your hat,

to a spitted face, until shame and disgrace, and they stripped His clothes off, and crucified Him before the world, despising the shame? How can you go to Calvary and come away anything

different than what He was: a disgrace, a shame?
