This is the SC3 machine – recently installed & ready to go
3
The inherent benefits from the SC3 machine• Tidies up, replaces and makes safe manual cutting operations-
capacity can replace 2-3 manual saws output - with just 1.5 operators• Generally working per shift to cut 1800- 2000 components
(~160-180 trusses)• Better labour utilization, saves space, improves production
flow• Cuts accurately, high precision, 5 Axis sawing, huge flexibility,
compound angles, safe ripping for ridge beams, low pitch roof components• Large 450 x 160 mm cutting capacity, to handle Glulam, I-
Joists, and large timber sections
4
The inherent benefits from the SC3 machine con’t
• Safely processes small timber components, makes good use of otherwise waste material. Less Operator fatigue from less lifting, meets H+S requirements• As standard, can optimize, stack cut, and “cut in cut” to save
time, yield more material - Cuts down “stock sizes” significantly!!• The SC3 links seamlessly with all Nail plate and Timber frame
design software and can be networked• The SC3 software works with your stock sizes, and in all recent
installations has reduced significantly the stock sizes needed • Very quick “return on Investment”- better organize your
business with the SC3

Cutting with the SC3 offers many alternatives
• The SC3 can simply cut 1-off pieces, programmed within its own software
• Set in default is “cut in cut” processing, reducing the number of “V” cuts - “Board stretcher”
• The software gives the option to cut to the best optimization, or with the pieces stacked for speedier cutting- both set as defaults
• From the screen shots, the number of trusses, number of components, linear meter of timber and m3 requirement is shown, as well as waste %
10
In Summary the SC3 opens up all sorts of possibilities
• The SC3 is comfortable processing timber trusses, timber frames and floor cassette components
• Glulam and I-Joists are commonly processed on SC3 machines too
• Great opportunity in the UK is to supply “cut roofs” to local builders (see pics)
• With the SC3 flexibility, awkward jobs made with ease, and difficult, dangerous but important cuts such as low angled trusses, cut safely and quickly

The SC3 gives you complete and paperless control
• Nail plate, and timber frame design software link seamlessly to the SC3 machine software
• Files can be simulated before processing• Jobs can be optimized and stacked for fast
processing• The software combined produces picking lists
ahead of production• Paperwork is a thing of the past• The SC3 is easily networked

SC3 In Summary• Multiple advantages and benefits have been noted in the
presentation,• Consider adding value to current services, outside of trusses,
and whether these services can be offered such as Glulam, I-Joists, cut roofs, feature trusses and roof structures,
• Making and supplying trusses is a commodity business it can only to profitable and add value by being efficient and with superior service,
• The SC3 and Hundegger can help customers to meet these objectives,
