SOLAR BUSINESS FESTIVAL 2016
Over 250 participants expected at SBF Austin 2016. The Solar Business Festival is a highly b2b
interactive conference, exhibition, and concert dedicated to creating an influential solar trading
platform in Texas. It is a fantastic two-day annual event which takes in Austin-Texas that provides
an excellent industry platform for manufacturers, suppliers, distributors, service providers and
partners in the Texas solar industry.
The event brings together Texas-based solar companies to connect directly with inspired attendees

The Solar Business Festival 2016 will be held in Austin-Texas from December 1th to 2nd 2016 at

Festival 2016, will be a premier networking platform for all Texas solar professionals, involving

Huge deals at International Festival for Business 2016:
Making connections, shaping the future and doing deals are the results of IFB 2016 which took
place from June 13- July 1st in Liverpool, UK. IFB 2016 was centered at Exhibition Centre
Liverpool, a brand new state-of-the-art conference complex on the city’s world famous waterfront.
IFB2016 included up to 75 events, including the Wi-Fi Global Congress that covered all major
sectors such as creative, digital, and manufacturing. Fully supported by the British Prime Minister,
David Cameron, the centerpiece of the festival was the Great British Showcase on June 14th
curated by No.10 Downing Street, and featured cutting-edge British products and services.

UNCTAD facilitates G20 consensus on Guiding Principles for Global Investment
Policymaking:
The G20 Ministerial Meeting held on 9 and 10 July in Shanghai under the China Presidency has
agreed on a set of non-binding Guiding Principles for Investment Policymaking. The Guiding
Principles are the outcome of six months of intensive discussions held in the G20’s newly
established Trade and Investment Group, which aims to enhance global trade and investment
policy cooperation, and constitute a priority deliverable for the 2016 G20 Summit. Work on the
Principles was facilitated by UNCTAD’s Division on Investment and Enterprise.

From decision to action:
The fourteenth session of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD
14) recently took place in Nairobi, Kenya (17 to 22 July). Participants included Heads of State and
Government, ministers and other prominent players from the business world, civil society and
academia to tackle global trade and economic development issues. The quadrennial Conference
was yet another unique opportunity for delivering on the post-2015 development agenda. The
theme was “From Decisions to Actions” and featured ministerial debates, high-level round tables,
thematic events, a World Investment Forum, a Global Commodities Forum, a Youth Forum and a
Civil Society Forum, among other events.

Investing in Sustainable Development:
World Investment Forum 2016 held at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre from 17-21
July 2016 has continue to serve as the global forum for inclusive dialogue and policy formulation
on investment-development needs at the highest level, bringing together investment partners to
discuss challenges, opportunities and policy solutions to meet the Sustainable Development Goals.
Its mission is to provide a platform where a debate on “investment for development” can take place
and ultimately to promote investment flows that contribute to sustainable and inclusive
development. With its ties to UN member States, the World Investment Forum was able to bring
together a broad coalition of investment stakeholders at the highest level who influence the global
investment landscape.

GAA Attends United Nations Global Compact Leaders’ Summit:
Global Attain Advancement attended the 2016 UN Global Compact Leaders’ Summit 2016 which
took place (22-23 June 2016, New York) at the United Nations General Assembly and JW Marriot
New York Times.
The summit provided a dynamic stage for UN Global Compact participating companies such as
Global Attain Advancement to jump-start business action on the new Sustainable Development
Goals (SDGs). The adoption of the Sustainable Development Goals in 2015, the Paris Climate
Agreement, and the Agenda for Humanity – has made it clear that we have never before been so
united as a global community. At the Summit, GAA joined other UN Global Compact participants,
leaders from business, Government, the UN and civil society from nearly every corner of the
world, to discuss the journey ahead as to turn global goals into local business. With GAA
commitment on SDG 7, 8 and 17, we were honored to participate in the UN Global Compact
signing ceremony, which symbolize our participation and involvement on the Sustainable
Development Goals (SDGs).
