The hunger games: 2012 In my opinion the hunger games is a great film, the costume, music and scene were all exceptional. The futuristic story line of a ‘game show’ were the last one alive wins is a mixture of science fiction, action and romance. Due to the high tech special effects creating unrealistic creatures the film brought lots interest to me and made me question things that were happening. The camera shots using blur, focus and panning all created tension. The blurring effects help me feel more in the moment, it helped me imagine how fast everything was happening. It also helped me relate to the confusion the characters could have been feeling ‘everything is just a blur’.The music was well thought out as each tense moment had dramatic music, for example after the first count down to commence ‘the hunger games’ the music goes faster, louder and has a louder beat to it. The film had a lot of amazing moments which really intrigued me however it did drag on. It took a long time to actually get anywhere in the story which did make me loose some interest. Also it was quite disappointing to watch a film that didn’t quite live up to the book I have read. The book was a lot more tense and the characters were described fully so that you built a connection to them. However in the film the characters weren't really introduced so I didn’t feel any love/hate for certain characters which makes me less passionate about the film. Finally the film didn’t actually relate to the title that much. It wasn't a game were people were starving, yes they did have to fight for food but that actually wasn't the main point at all. Overall the film was very good and I would recommend it to

It wasn't a game were people were starving, yes they did have to fight for food but that actually wasn't the main point at all. Overall the film was very good and I would recommend it to others how-ever I think a lot of the scenes could have been cut down so it got to the point a lot quicker.
